Any time, bender16v. And I and my girls, Smokey and Bandit, send our deepest condolences on the loss of your dog.

Delicate Arch (almost used this one)

I really like that one. If that’s a B, can’t wait to see your A’s.

Also also also wik, a very happy birthday to our very own Kestrana!

    Happy birthday, Kes!

Thanks for the feedback, ennui. You’ve eased my mind. When us reptilian statisticians rise up to overthrow mankind, I’ll make sure you’re eaten last. 😆

‘Cuda, in cases like these, I always resort to the dictionary. “Statuary” is defined as “statues collectively”. Statue is defined as “a three-dimensional work of art, as a representational or abstract form, carved in stone or wood, molded in a plastic material, cast in bronze, or the like.”

So, I’d say you’re good. If molded plastic is a statue, then shaped metal surely is as well.

OK, I’m at the “questioning myself” stage (once again), so I’d like some feedback if y’all don’t mind. Are these two “landscape-y” enough?

They selectively meet the definition of “a section of scenery seen from a single viewpoint” and while I was pretty confident when choosing these early on, today I find I’m not so sure. I don’t know whether to attribute it to a dawning realization or just over-analysis fatigue. I’m sure none of you can identify with that, right? 😉

    Yay!!!!!!!!!!

My first thought, which soon lead to…

Dammit…now I need to figure out an avatar. Do you realize the analysis paralysis that goes along with choosing such a representative image for my interwebz persona????

    my second thought.

But, yeah, thanks Zeke! I really didn’t care much for the choice of stock avatars.

Now THAT is cool!! Awesome, swampa!!

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I was thinking more of a half-and-half, but I like the direction you took it. Nice job of stitching, too.

I haven’t really paid attention to those links before, but do you mean “View unread posts?” These are the links I see at the top of the forum index:

    • View your posts
    • View unread posts
    • View unanswered posts
    • Mark all forums read

If you’re not seeing these, make sure you’re logged in. I started poking around this morning and wondered why there weren’t any orange new post indicators when I finally realized that I’d been logged out overnight (I’m guessing Zeke was tweaking something).

I have no idea what Vertical Landscapes means, can someone please explain it.

I’m not the theme submitter, but here’s the way I’m interpreting it:

First, the definition of “landscape” I’m using is “a section or expanse of rural scenery, usually extensive, that can be seen from a single viewpoint.” Since the theme explicitly says “natural or urban,” I’m ignoring the “rural” part of that definition.

Next, the “vertical” part means that the landscape photo should be taken in portrait orientation, which means that your camera is rotated 90 degrees so that the image is taller than it is wide. If you look at my entries here from Thick As A Brick, the first two meet this requirement while the third does not.

For some reason my links to Photobucket aren’t working today. I don’t think that it’s me, I may have to try uploading to another service and link from there. …. I thought just maybe the image would show in the comment even though it didn’t in the preview. Please nuke my latest post without an image.

Your link is working for me with a minor edit. I don’t know if this was in your original post, but if you remove the space in “Para mount” it works. If the space wasn’t there originally, perhaps it was just a temporary outage.

Try copying & pasting the text below exactly as is and make sure the “HTML Enabled” box is checked when posting:

^ Yep, what linguine said. Been in and through TX many times, but never to that part of it. Looks like a good, relaxing time was had by all.

Also, my thought process on viewing your post again: “Wait a minute, isn’t that a… Oh, ‘Velocitus Incalcublii.’ Ha ha ha! Good one.” 🙂
