I’m aware this is pushing it, but what about stuffed animals? Not of horses, dogs, cats, etc, but of moose, caribou, frogs? Please? The wildlife here has pretty much gone missing, or it only comes out at night when I’m asleep, so either way I’m not seeing a whole crapton of turkeys going through our yard.

Oh my goodness! Glad you’re on the mend, and hope it stays that way for a while.

Offended, no. Concerned, yes. Hope you trump the blues; you know where to find me on FB.

It comes and goes. And thanks.

Apologies if the content of my photos offends anyone.

B&W fine to substitute. I may not end up with anything anyway with hunting season, etc, coming up so deer and turkeys aren’t really around right now and don’t know when they will be. I did see some turkeys a week or so ago and my first thought was that I wish I had my camera with me.

Just an informal poll, how many are planning on doing Lego shots before I get too settled into one of the ones I have? I don’t want there to be too many…

Back in high school, in the group I was hanging out with, there was some D&D going on, only I hadn’t really been introduced to it very well (I was rather naive at the time of many things going on, rather oblivious). Anyway, I had also been taking dance lessons every year since I was like 5. By just-then-ex-boyfriend, who I was still friends with, gave my nickname, Cloud Dancer. He’s shortened to Dancer on many occasions. He gave me the nickname because he said I danced like I was on clouds. Probably because I really enjoyed it, even if I wasn’t that good at it. Just tap, really. There was ballet for a couple of years, and then jazz dancing. Anyway, the name stuck. Weird thing happened though after high school for us. We remained friends (still are friends) only now he’s my brother-in-law. I haven’t really danced in years, and I’m not nearly as graceful as I once was, not that I was too terribly graceful to begin with, actually.

That looks so good right now…

    Nope. Not hungry one iota.

Question for rav: Would a husk of an animal be ok? As in, like a snake sheds its skin when it gets too big for it, would taking a picture of the shed skin be ok? I ask because I got something similar today, but from a dragonfly, or rather a former dragonfly larva. If not, I’m quite sure I can find something else to work with this, I just thought it was cool.

Kitty sitting in window? Kid looking out through the screen door?
About all I got so far without specifically shooting.

Probably rehashing old stuff with this question, but I’m asking anyway.

Usually if I go for a walk, about a trip to the mailbox, or just to the lake if I’m straight walking with the younger kiddo, can get me about 15 minutes. I’ve been walking slower since I got fatter. That said, depending on traffic and all that, if I drive 15 minutes just about anywhere in Lincoln is fair game. So I’ve been to both places, and I know what takes me about 15 minutes of driving or walking to get to. So that being a given, if I know a particular location is pretty much about 15 minutes away, can I use pictures I’ve already taken of said location(s) and call it good, or would you prefer I go out with a timer and shoot new for this contest?

I just tend to go to the mailbox, then the lake and back because round trip its roughly a mile and if I don’t stop to take too many pictures I can make it in about half an hour to 45 minutes (its not entirely flat terrain). I suppose I can go the other direction from our house, but its not as scenic.

Hmm, maybe this would be a good contest to enter the lightning-magnet tree…

Kes, that wins. I’ll change it to Middle Of The Night and we can classic it, if you want.

I figured we already had astrophotography coming up anyway, I just wanted some night things, but not dominated by “night sky” pics. Pretty much like rav has it.
