An actual photo-taking resolution/goal? Not so much. But I would like to catch up more on my scrapbooking and take better pictures for the Farktography contests. It would be nice to win one, but I think I have a slower learning curve on this than most; or I simply don’t jive with the voters.

I mention the scrapbooking because its turned into more than just pictures of the kids. I’m printing now some that are intended to go in a scrapbook all their own of pictures I like or I think turned out decently (mostly flora/fauna and such). I only got up to February of 2011 before I ran out of pictures, and just yesterday I went through some more to get them ready to send to printing, and I only got to July before I decided that 477 prints would be enough. Now just to have those printed so I can get them in their respective books.

Also, I’d like to participate more in the G+ photography community. I think I could learn a lot there, as well.

Its just nice, though, how her bewbs end up right over my head. No way I can compete with that. Though who wouldn’t go to sleep mesmerized by a pair of those?

Had a great idea for a shot, but I can’t make it work. Idea: Get a spinning top, but in focus, but definitely movement in the photo, but not blurred. However, either I don’t have the right lighting or the top I have available is too unstable to make it work. Or, and this is most likely, I can’t spin a top worth a damn. I got something else at least, so there will be one usable photo. Likely won’t do any others.

If you use Sam’s club locally (or the like) you may be able to do something with them. Kodak is going out of business I heard, but they also probably offer it. Otherwise, I’d suggest Mpix. I used them to create some custom Christmas cards with an image I took last year (Husband kept saying it’d make a great Christmas card), and I’m REALLY happy with how they came out, so I’d go back. For simple prints that I want to scrapbook, or maybe put on the wall, I’ll go with the 1-hour thing for Sam’s and I upload the photos and have them printed at like 13 cents a 4×6 and such. Good luck.

Are all photos in the trip supposed to be taken on the same day, or can one put together pictures that were taken at different times, but still the exact same subject?

Have a question. If one of the pictures in the triptych is B&W, do all 3 have to be? I’m thinking of putting one together (I believe I have the shots already for it, its just combining them), and perhaps one of the 3 would work as B&W, but I didn’t know if all had to be in color or in B&W to fly. Its a bit nit-picky, but I had the thought so I thought I’d ask.

I have what I have and I’ll use it. If they don’t fit the theme, so be it. I’ve been in a slump, photography wise anyway. Hoping to get back in on things.

Town Office works, right? I think I might go for a drive tomorrow, just to get out…

    Public library? Is that government?

…it means no goody bags for dad to pilfer from (the “dad tax”, as I called it). 🙁

My husband called it the “dad tax” as well. He said it entitled him to take any and all candy. Of course, Atrus was oblivious to what that meant. No pilfering was done any how.

I deliberately avoided the dead baby grave stones. There are at least two next door, one that just says infant on one side with specific dates on the other side, and the other says infant daughter, 4 days old. Kind of creeps me out if I think too much about it that we live right THERE next to them. I hope they don’t mind me coming over to take pictures every now and then. I do my best to be respectful.

This, after I had a weird dream where I fell in a lake *with* my camera, but strangely after I got out, let all the water out, then cleaned off the silt, etc, it worked perfectly fine again. At that point, I remember a voice (likely my husband’s) telling me that I was extremely lucky it still worked. Dreams are strange.

Ooh! Dump trucks! You’d mention that. With two boys, there are dump trucks, and one even has toy rocks. Maybe I’ll go outside tomorrow and do some of that. No appointments or anything so I should have some time.

And agree with loki, like the poem. 🙂

My only idea for this is a motherboard, you know because of so many electronics and computer stuff, going for the circuitry angle there. However, I’m really not feeling it anyway. Part of me wants to keep up with my posting weekly, but I don’t actually have anything for this so I would have to shoot it all today. Its not hard, mind you, just not feeling the urge to think photographically.

holy crap where was I going? I got sidetracked. Anyway, I’ll just leave that here because I’m too lazy to delete it.

I don’t expect they will do well, either. I’m just trying to fill out my submissions, think outside the box, etc. Of CO, with aspidites picture profile, I won’t even have a chance in hell at 1, 2, or 3, and the rest of you mean I likely won’t even be in the top 50 either, so I’m just going to have fun.
