ParticipantYah! nice to see mine doing better in this contest…. or is that only because of Fewer entries? *hrmmmmm* .. nope not gonna analyze it. I’m gonna enjoy my ranking!
jpatten
ParticipantHmmm I have a Lot I think should have done better… Some that did better than I thought .. and 5 out of 96 entries that came in the top 20
jpatten
ParticipantHmmm almost ANY of my pictures is up for this one… though some I just posted anthing i could find to keep an entry… some I really was disappointed in

ParticipantYeah I saw those. Well done, but I think that nothing quite matches real sunlight. Of course I admit that I still don’t know what I’m doing a lot of the time, even less when that one was taken. If nothing else I have learned a lot more about Post processing to bring out the best in my pictures.

ParticipantNo I didnt’ cut it out. I can post the original if there is doubt!

ParticipantI honestly was very suprised I was able to make the water disappear like that!! I am not complaining but I love how it turned out. It ranks in my top 10… probably top 5
jpatten
ParticipantIts all Contrast and brightness adjustments… The water it was in was quite dark and not reflecting any light really from the angle I was at. No breeze at all. So I pushed up the contrast and hit the brightness and saturation to bring out the flower while cutting the background. It was taken at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The sun had popped out and I managed to get an angle where the sun wasn’t reflecting off the water.

ParticipantYou really cant tell from the size I posted, but there are pink lines running down all the petals.

ParticipantNo, the flower actually looks a lot like that. I may have over-saturated a bit now that I am seeing it on a newer higher quality monitor. But the angle of the sun and flower allowed it to be lit along the bottom so the glow is probably from that. I should have linked the Full size.

ParticipantHmmmm not sure if I like the first one enough…. maybe I should have used an alternate…..Oh well.
jpatten
Participanthey… I can see why…. of course part of me should be thankful you forgot! *grin* I will now go hide my camera in shame.
