Participantyeah i keep hearing that but never quite manage to make it. one of these days, i’m sure…

Participantlooks like a fun trip! i’ve lived in WY for 10 years and STILL have never gone to bryce canyon or zion nat’l park.
/i feel shame

Participanti think that would constitute a *new* entry, because even though it’s from your archives it would be new to farktography.
monkeybort
Participanti don’t think we can enter new stuff either – it’s either your faves from the past year or the ones that did the best in the voting.
/my interpretation

ParticipantSo, if repeats are allowed this week, does this mean that we can also post new pictures this week AND use them in subsequent contests? Or is that stretching it?
Repeats from previous contests are allowed.
I would think that would be a negative, ghostrider.
i concur.
/that pattern is full.

Participanta friend of mine wanted to shoot a concert and the guy at the door wasn’t sure if he should let him in or not, so he radio’d up to his boss – ‘uh, there’s a guy at the door with some big boy gear, can he come in and take pictures?’
ever since then i’ve referred to my SLR as my ‘big girl gear’.
/he got in, courtesy of his BBG. 😛

Participantyou got dust! if you stop down to 2.8 or so you probably won’t see it at all – with mine it starts to show up at f8.

Participantboobies don’t always do well – for my ‘behind the scenes’ shot of a nipple piercing a metric shit-ton of people clicked through to see it, but it didn’t end up placing very high.
Just because….well….just because: can you define a metric shit-ton? Is that 2.2 english shit-tons?
precisely. you hit the nail right on the head there old chap!

ParticipantIf it can’t predict earthquakes i don’t think it’ll do much good in WY. Of course, if we get a big one Yellowstone will blow and everyone will be screwed anyway….

Participanthahahahahaha giggle snort guffaw
nice work.

Participanti shoot with my glasses on, too.
i believe the * button is also the one i use to focus.
/heh, my misleading coffee comment worked! mwahahahahahahaaaa

Participanti love the back button focus – my ex-bf converted me and i’ve used it ever since. it was probably a little more useful when i was shooting film (since an accidental shot = 1/36 of my available exposures), but i still use it on my 20d.

Participantit DOES have a world series….. 🙂

ParticipantMiller – one trick i use is to change the AF button from the shutter to one of the ones on the back – i think it has a little star next to it. may not make a difference for the most part, but it helps to keep me from taking those ‘accidental’ shots while composing. it’s one of the custom functions but i don’t have my manual here.
good work; i’m super jealous and *will* be putting arsenic in your coffee to facilitate removing those lenses from your possession.
