I’ve just got one technical question. Should we provide an unwatermarked image? I always put a watermark on my pics, but I can link to on without if necessary.

Can someone tell me if these are ok? They all work for the original rule (subjects are under 2″), but the total in frame is over 2″ on a couple.

What I’ve been using is a spotting scope window mount mounted on the bar of a quick clamp. This is as solid a mount as I’ve been able to come up with, as long as there is something solid to put it on.

Another TFer was handing out free FTP space about a year or so ago, and I jumped on it. At first it wasn’t a whole lot of space, but the last time I checked with him he said it was unlimited. It costs him $10 to register a domain, so he just passes that onto me. Really, it was right place right time for me.

Wow, I guess I’m the really lucky one here. I have unlimited storage and bandwidth for free. The only thing I’m paying is a $10/year fee to register my domain.

They work ok if you bounce them off enough walls/ceilings. My paintbrushes pic in this contest was taken in an unfinished bathroom with a big ass halogen pointed up at a wall, and the small flash on my camera.

I host the small versions that appear in the threads, and each image is usually requested about 5,000 times in a couple of days. A bigger version that you only link to wouldn’t be clicked on nearly that much, and should be fine.

Thanks, I figured I probably wouldn’t get as many clicks, so I think I’ll go that route and see what happens.

Is that windmill farm east-north-east of Denver by about 100 miles? (I just saw that you list your location as Colorado)

That’s the one. Just west of 85, just south of the WY border. I was actually a few miles in WY when I was taking the pictures.
