I can think of a lot of features I’d put above projector to have in a camera. It’s like they are just picking scraps of paper out of a hat.

Well it is a Nikon….

But personally, I think it could be fun in a P&S, even though I know some people would abuse it. In the DSLR, yeah, not so much.

A quick search says that the Super isn’t compatible with digital backs. The M645 AF’s may be, and the AFDs are.

They’re pretty bloody expensive too.

I’m thinking about retooling it so it can be a little more versatile – shouldn’t be difficult to make it motion sensitive (motion detectors use IR) and possibly sound sensitive.

He’s already got a later version of something he calls a “Camera Axe” with additional triggers, very controllable. Can fire camera or flashes based on sensor input.

Lol, yeah that’s even fancier than I was thinking.

Now to find a few suckers to go in with me on the project…

I’ve got one I shot yesterday and I have a couple more ideas I’m going to try to shoot today. In the interest of full disclosure, however, my 30D only has a 10 second self-timer, so I’ve had to set the timer, then let 8 seconds run out on it before starting my run. But I think that’s in keeping with the spirit of the rules.

FWIW, Kat’s 20D has the same issue. It was fun watching her try to count that high 😉
