ParticipantI used CDs that I burned some anime stuff onto and they worked fine. I’m not sure if music CDs would make any difference or not but if you have the time it doesn’t hurt to try it 🙂
ParticipantQB, that’s pretty much what I posted about too. My rainbows were rather small and all around it was less robust in color than I would have hoped. Honestly, yours has more kick than mine so I”d go for it. Not even a single prism around her to work with, sadly (hence the CDs).
Did you put your CDs in the microwave? 😛 it’s a neat effect but it may be effecting (affect? I always get those wrong) your rainbows! I like the idea of the first picture. Do you have any photomanipulation programs where you can try to play with the levels and contrast a bit? It might help.
I have CD pics too 😛 I’m trying to decide between them on which one to use since I know a lot of people may be going that route.

Participantyay band geeks! I played clarinet for about 10 yrs. 4 years of marching band (which I still miss). One year of baritone horn. Bass clarinet for 5 years. Piano for about 6 yrs (i had to get rid of my piano a couple yrs ago due to my asshole ex. ill never forgive him for that..) church choir for 4 yrs. school choir for 1 (only yr i could fit it in) 3 musicals. I have an electric guitar sitting here while I sadly do not know how to play. I’m the kind of girl you catch singing along with the muzak in the grocery store 😛

Participant*bites tongue* I hate NY. Seriously. This is the closest thing to a police state that I have ever lived in. I’m actually waiting for something like this to happen to me, I won’t be quiet and compliant, and it won’t be pretty.
i dont know if you’ll have as much of an issue with it upstate as you would near Manhattan. I took pictures as I was driving over the Verrizanno (I lived on Long Island for 8 hellish years). No one saw me or said anything but the signs are posted all over.
