ParticipantWTH? 140 votes at 10 am? (oh, noon EDT, or one? One.)
Somebody musta voted for everybody, but it’s nice to see the spike in the trends. 🙂
//Everybody ‘like’ the thread for added visibility? We’re some 8-10 down the list…
Though we’ll never overtake the Dick in the Box.

Participantoddmind to the best of my knowledge, use of the same frame as previously submitted, in any form, is strictly prohibited, except when expressly stated in the theme’s ground rules. That’s why we *cough*ahem* bracket *cough*cough*

ParticipantA lot of good shots this week, but after a dozen orange sunsets, the mystery is gone…. I use IrfanView.
Agreed. This means it should be a LONG while before we do a sunrise/sunset contest–had my fill, too (and I’m guilty of two, even).
I used to use Irfanview, but with the update from last year, it makes my resizes blocky (have no idea why). I should see if there’s another update available. Most of the time, I resize to quality 4 to 6 in Canon’s DPP, and that almost always is good enough.
Trees are tough–a lot of edges take up memory.

Participant/ I sort of with these threads had a “Like” button.
Still a little numb from the dentist’s chair, Ulle? I caught the lisp. 😆
Thanks CISS; a shot with similar tones is one of the ‘ayes’

ParticipantFor better or worse, I’ve made my choices. Some bees, plus some other shots I considered but won’t be going with:

ParticipantNo, Orion doesn’t really show up again till September…oh, nevermind.
I have no sun, either, but I know you’ll manage. A little bird told me. Damnyoualltohell.
I certainly have my choices laid out for me with the recent solar photography through the telescope, none are ‘perfect’–I’d need to photoshop for that, but any should be enough to grab attention–votes? Who can tell? But I only want to use one, and which one is the rub. My other two will be more ‘traditional’, and hopefully vote-worthy.

ParticipantNot completely unmanipulated; I did curves/contrasty stuff. But it’s all global. I also did an edited version of the 2nd where I ‘shopped out the power lines. What a bitch that was, with the cloud background.

ParticipantSwap sounds good; was wondering about the anniversary thing.

Participantstaplermofo, you crazy nut! (I’d do it if they hadn’t all decided to up and disappear about 4 hours after swarming in–t’would have been coolio!)

ParticipantNot that I plan on using it, but what about the sun through clouds, where you can see the suns there, but not so much that you get lens flare or blowout?
Example: http://fossilspringsaz.com/pics/2012/apr/18/sif.jpg
//not planning on using, but a fair example of what I mean.
