ParticipantFor SilverStag, there’s a new “sort by” type of “Post Time” on the user page. This displays all entries for a user by post time with only the contest name. The default page size is 48 entries, but of course “All” will display everything on one page.
Wow, thanks! Much Much better!
I’m wondering if the huge Navigation Menu placeholder is actually necessary? Surely a strip menu in the header would be all that’s needed?
Can you tell I hate wasted screen space?
Also, is anyone else getting a scroll bar across the bottom of each page? (Sometimes cause by using screen width instead of browser window width as a param)? See:
My browser is set to full screen, 1280×1024.
(It runs in my secondary screen, the primary is a 1920×1080)SilverStag
ParticipantI’d like to ask for a pony:
When you look at “All” of your entries, it would be convenient to have them displayed as a gigantic dump of thumbnails, to maximize the number of photos displayed on a page.
My reasoning? When I look at “All”, I’m really just trying to determine if I’ve used a particular photo in a contest before. I don’t need to know what contest it was in, I just need to see as many of my entries as quickly as possible, to scan through them. The layout space wasted on segregating the entries into contests and listing votes and crap is just that, wasted space, and gets in the way of quickly gleaning the information I need from that page. Reading places and NVCs etc is demoralizing, anyway.
Alternatively, we need a way to enter a URL to see if it comes up in some kind of a Scarlet R search.

ParticipantMy name is a really obscure train reference.

ParticipantYet another junk camera with no definable purpose or use.
I love it!

ParticipantUmm how about not starting a grading system until a user has entered, say, 2 consecutive contests? Up until that point, they could be said to be auditing the course 🙂
There are gaps in my participation, primarily due to serious medical issues. That’s why I have problems with stats that count participation and nothing else- there are many reasons why someone can be a regular participant and still miss out on a block of contests.

ParticipantFish ladders – not meant for humans. Sorry.
Escalators- fine for either mode of operation.

ParticipantExcept that Vimeo won’t frickin’ work on Firefox, so it’s useless to me.
It’ll work if you turn off AdBlock Plus and NoScript. There’s a couple more layers to it than YouTube, but it’s viewable.
I don’t want to see it *that* much.

ParticipantJust popping in to ask silverstag the same question clouddancer and orionid asked. To clarify for my purposes: Do ‘steps’ need to be intended for humans, or on the human-sized scale?
Well, “Heaven” is a human, if somewhat abstract comment. I was thinking of steps that people use, yes.

ParticipantIt’s been 35 years since I used a rangefinder camera.
You’re not suggesting that it has anything as sophisticated as a rangefinder on it? I don’t even know if the scale focusing mechanism they do have really does much…
It’s supposed to focus? Oh, crap.

ParticipantI got it today! My god these things really are cheap!
Any tips from those who’ve already used it?
