Sorry folks, I was in West By God No Internet Virginia last night and today. Just got home. Looks like everything got sorted out, but I think I specically disallowed people dressed as animals somewhere, but I’m too burned to go find it.

    Thanks for participating, folks!

Hmm, I’m assuming you don’t have an evil twin

I’ve actually met El’s evil photography twin.

I hate it when you impact the grou. It’s so messy to clean up.

So, in the world of farktography, scanning as a means of turning film into ones and zeroes is absolutely kosher. Dititization by means of a slide duplicating rig attached to your DSLR has been mentioned as kosher, though AFAIK, never been used.

I’ve done that lots of times… a number of my entries have been slides or negatives that I duped in a DSLR copy rig.

i.e. this is a Tri-X neg copied with my D50 and a cheapo slide copy rig. Reverse the light/dark values in Photoshop, and Voila!

In fact, this entire Flickr set is copied negs and slides:

Plama, I’d pick the second of your shots.
orionid‘s shot of kes in the red coat strikes me as memorable (Color popping naturally)
loki, it’s gotta be the lightwriting shot.

In other news, Silverstag, I think this one should be yours:

Yes, I like that one a lot.

Come on guys, let’s see your choices!

I’m glad to see this get some traction!

It comes down to the picking. If we choose personal favorites, that’s easier (although I’d have a hard time pickin from all my chilluns :), but I’d like to see a way to upvote/select others’ work.

How about the Farktographer picks three from their portfolio and posts them, the community then picks the final one?

    Let’s try it:

    A)

Union Station, Indianapolis by pjern, on Flickr

    B)

    FreakOut! by pjern, on Flickr

    C)

Mother and Daughter by pjern, on Flickr

I don’t know. I picked my favorites of my contest winners, but I could make an argument for me liking many of my shots that gathered a top-ten placement.

So which would you pick of the three, or alternatively, off my bibliostats page?
