We’ve gotta form one of those rag-tag commando units so popular in 1980s action/adventure shows.

*hums inspiration theme, holds up cards reading..*
orionid as Roger “tech” McGovern (crude drawing of a stickman with a bandana blowing something up)
Uman as Butch “Doc” Cahill (crude drawing of a stickman with some other lines that are hard to make sense of)
ravnostic as Matthias “Face” Walthers (detailed drawing of a motorcycle with a crude stickman rider)
Kestrana as Barbara “Bazooka” Anderson (huge bazooka drawing, crude stickwoman hastily added later)
Elsinore as Captain Caprescano “Cappy” Concesca (stickwoman with a captain’s hat and a eyepatch, and either a hook-hand or a gun, boobs erased and redrawn several times)
and staplermofo as Stapler “staplermofo” Mofo (not a drawing, just a stapler with racing stripes and a flaming skull resting on a sheet of paper)

Episode one: our heroes, drummed out of the Marine Corps’ top secret covert nuclear photography counter-intelligence something something because of TRAITORS IN THEIR OWN RANKS!? then they drive around in sports cars or jetpacks (jet cars? sport jets?) and find the TRAITORS ARE STILL something something drugs, car chase, brief torture scene with wisecracking and later steely eyed death stares soon followed by murder death. Some kinda running gag about someone being particular about something and another person not caring about it at all. 15 minute ninja fight where I take on like 50+1 Uzbek paperclip guys, and a heart rending fight against +1 (who killed my beloved mentor), but then I spare him at the end, but then he pulls a paperclip and I just waste him like bew bew bew bew. Then we all meet up at a bar or a softball game and Doc comes in last and lets us know there will be a sequel or entire tv series.
And we all go “awwww 🙁 “, but then we’re all “awww yeah”.

That looks like it’s intended to glide through mucocutaneous zones.

I prefer something with lead, acid, cadmium and the like. You know, manly stuff that will poison the lands to the third and fourth generation for the transgressions of the user. You can probably swipe some good old UPSs from the local state-run college. Or anywhere that has them if you get a pallet jack and one of those industrial handheld computers that looks halfway between a fancy universal remote and a plastic cudgel. Give me those and I could crash a UN summit and have Ban KiMoon help me run off with his podium.

If you just want some extra electricity I guess it could do that, but it’s not going to inspire people to fight over dibs on drinking from your skull in 200 years.

Can we cut pictures to non-rectangles? Stars, letters, swastikas, circles, etc?

I wonder if in another 100 years people will look back and be amazed at how photos look from the present.

No doubt about it. There’s a nice photography-only museum here with everything from albumen prints to xeroradiograph prints. It’s hard to accept photography as one art.
That, and people in the future will look different. Small things like smiling a lot, regularly walking in leather soled shoes on a dewy cobblestone road or 15 pounds of kimono and platform sandals permanently affect your features. Distortions from stuff like fetal alcohol syndrome, chronic malnutrition, etc will probably be less common.
My personal hope is that head coning comes back. I want to joust my friends on hoverboards with my grandkid for a lance.

    Hilarious.

If anyone is having trouble justifying their photography expenses to a loved one, I’m here to help. I’ve seen the first half of enough episodes of I Love Lucy to know how to get these things done.

Cray still has 3 computers in the top 10 on the world’s fastest computer list, but they’re all just piles of opterons or xeons.
There are still a few sparcs on the top 100 though.

Could you stitch it in strips too, so you’re only in swap for the last stitch or two?

taylorphoto.com offers gigantic prints mounted on rollable lexan for easy shipping. Also, motherfucking lexan, so you could say “Yeah, the pen might be mightier than the sword, but my motherfucking lexan photograph is a god damn bullet-proof, 7-foot castle, so kiss my ass!” Then the author and swordsman would cry but you’d be dry because lexan is waterproof.

The host (Matthew) advises them to lean toward the camera, which, due to its position, has them do everything the video mentioned. You can see the side profile lean when he fights Niigaki for camera space. Konno was not doing this, and Matthew mentions it 5:20ish.
I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO ULTERIOR MOTIVES IN POSTING THIS.

It took me a while to realize it, but I did some searching and found that the crazy guy from Lost in Translation has been coaching this for years.
    The advice starts around 5:15

I wonder how much more of his genius goes unnoticed to this day. *wistful, longing sigh*

Indeed he has. She lacks the goatee, but she’s still my Evil Photography Twin.

/also has an Evil Photography Triplet

Lemme guess, the twin is a finger dancer who photographs celibate bugs quietly praying for the sodomite bugs, and the triplet is an exotic dancer who photographs spider snuff and gnat orgies.

it’s been my experience that all to often well meaning folks fail to grasp the complexities of what they see and think they could do as well if not better.

It’s annoying because so many people I’d like to blame, I shouldn’t.
Kids with bad grammar? Even newspapers use bad grammar now.
Kids think a stack of chairs is art? Museums present a stack of chairs as art without an explanation.
People argue with their doctor? Doctors get quoted misleadingly to promote BS several times a day.
I’d like to think people 40 and over grew up in a world where institutions policed themselves for ineptitude, but I’m not even 30, so …

It’s like there’s a global conspiracy against credibility.
Our last hope is the self-checkout. God damn they scan & bag fast.
