I know Legos are supposed to be the main feature.

If I use Lego cars and a Lego Screen, would the theme in the URL below be OK?

    http://devilanse.wordpress.com/2011/04/08/an-ho-scale-drive-in-theater/

Want to know below I go out and buy more Legos (need a baseplate for the screen etc).

Sorry about not posting the pics but the ones online are large and I am at work.

Not quite sure when I first started using Stupido as an username. I know Fark was one of the first places. Basically something easy and not used. I settled on a misspelling of estupido. Sorta of appropriate.

Well, since that is covered: “Buy a Pentax”…No, not really, why would anyone do that?

No seriously, the Pentax DSLR are awesome cameras, I slightly wish I’d bought one, it was lenses that made me go Canon.

I like my Pentax DSLRs. More so I like my collection of Pentax compatible glass. I went with Pentax as I had the lenses from my 35mm Pentax and Zenit cameras.

Have you considered a spotting scope with a T-mount adapter? A cheap way of getting into long lenses. Hover there are disadvantages. Tripod use only but then you want to do that any way. Not as much correction in the lens. And no adjustable F-stops.

Nifty! Expensive but not hideously. Now if they would duplicate the Polaroid iZone film and 35mm instant slide film.

U-man, ever get the Peleng? I got one since this thread started. Some sample pics of mine are in the following links. I am using a APS-C sized sensor Pentax DSLR (1.5x). Still gets lots of fishyness 🙂 I am planning on doing film too. Have to breakout the K1000 or the Zenit cameras. My ZX-5n, just died on me. Mirror jammed.

So far I like it. I have lots of pics to look through from this spring’s Alaska trip. I will post links to them after I upload them. Yea, the ZX-5n film camera died while I was on a sightseeing flight over Denali!

OK, I have both the 16mm Zenitar and now just recently the 8mm Peleng. I bought the Zenitar when I was doing film and missed the super wide effect when I went digital. Two things contributed to not using the Zenitar. First of which, min is a screw mount and I have not been able to find a M42 screwmount to K-mount adaptor which operates the iris. So when mounted on my Pentax digital SLRs, its wide open. And the crop factor takes alot of fun out of it. Many pics, look like they were taken with a regular lens.

Same street with 18-55mm kit lens at 18mm: http://www.flickr.com/photos/stupido/3677531109

So wider but you can take very non-fisheyeish pics on the cropping DSLRs.

    Very different!

And finally the 8mm Peleng on a Pentax DSLR:

While not entirely circular, quite a bit of the circular image is there.

I use an older Acer Scanwit 2720 for print film and an occasional slide. One thing as previous posted, scanning is time consuming. Hence I have paid when I have color film developed for the scanning even though I have a scanner. I typically only use the scanner for B&W film I develop.

If I know ahead of time I will be moving between environmental extremes, I carry a zip lock bag with me. Typically around here, you get condensation moving from cold to warm. So if I am out in the winter taking pics, I put my camera in a zip-lock bag before returning indoors. Wait until its acclimated to the warm temperature before removing it from the bag.

I like to do a lot of wide-angle night sky shots, but I’m also interested in what I could do with my 400mm lens. or what I would need to buy to mount my 20d to a telescope.

my problem is that while there is virtually no ambient light for thousands of miles around me in many directions, the sky is clear less than 1/3 the year, and for a good four months or more, it’s too bright at night to see anything. So I’m not all that keen on dropping a lot of cash for limited return.

I was in Seward this summer and it never got dark!!!!! Dim yes. Really dark, no. That said, I have made some nice photos of the moon with my 400mm spotting scope (while in KY)

And yes with a 80% viewfinder and a 180 degree diagonal view on the lens there are lots with my left hand fingers…..

For me with my Nikkor 10.5, it’s usually my feet. But damn can fisheyes be fun, and useful too, once you start to understand their strengths and weaknesses.

I like doing landscapes trying to minimize the distortions

Well lens cleaning fluid and paper cleaned it up. Pics are scanned at : http://www.flickr.com/photos/29777746@N08/sets/

I got something scratching the film in the old camera. It does not show in the standard prints but does on the negatives when they are scanned. And yes with a 80% viewfinder and a 180 degree diagonal view on the lens there are lots with my left hand fingers…..
