I’d expect a plethora of cats.
Feels good to be back but I’m not ready for Farktography yet.
Karen, you made a major transformation, a very flattering one. You look great.

April 28, 2007 at 10:57 am #9419DigginParticipantAnyone know where I can get a Canon 30D costume?
/This whole time I thought women just wanted a caring guy. I had no idea they wanted to make love to a Canon! Pfft.
April 26, 2007 at 9:33 pm #9569DigginParticipantWell, the RSS feed would be cool but worthless considering the amount of activity on Farktography.net. If there were 20 posts or so a day then maybe…
For the contest aspect of it I’m clueless to the benefit unless it’s for the “linky” to the Farktography post at Fark. Then a TF’er could simply click the link from the feed to get to the current contest and post an image. Hmmm, are we that damn lazy?
I’m indifferent about it and that’s my final answer.
April 26, 2007 at 1:30 pm #9530DigginParticipantThe terms are simple and regardless of the e-mail above from Drew it clearly paints a picture thats just wrong. It’s a contract! Once you submit the photo to Fark, it becomes the owner of the photo but the ‘submitter’ gets a non-exclusive, and the key words here, “royalty free” rights to redistribute the photo. So, if National Geographic wanted to buy it then you’d get nothing and Fark would get it all. It’s clearly about money.
April 18, 2007 at 1:50 pm #9314DigginParticipantDid you hear Bush say, “They were in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
I feel for Marcy and the families of all of those injured and killed in the tragedy. Often I wonder if schooling my kids in another country would be a good idea. It seems things here are out of hand a bit and our education system isn’t all that great anyway. You’d have to be extremely wealthy to get a good education around here. Currently, I’d lose my house and 401k and most of my savings if I put my 2 kids through 4 years of college.
April 5, 2007 at 1:23 am #8465DigginParticipantOf all the contests I can’t submit a picture in it would have to be the one I recommended. I’m sad that I missed another. All of these pictures I’ve been taking (in NEF at 15MB each) have inundated my storage. I ordered a 1TB Iomega RAID but it arrived DOA a few days ago and I’m waiting on a replacement. Since I’m out of disk space my Photoshop CS2 won’t work. All I get is “Scratch Disks are full…” I can’t even crop a picture.
I will say that so far there are some seriously incredible and creative shots. That one off Elsinors deck surprised the hell out of me. That’s the best back yard I’ve ever seen! I could land a plane there with ease.
March 26, 2007 at 11:23 am #8453DigginParticipantFor only six clicks and free software that’s very impressive morningbreath. The hardest stitching I’ve ever done that required every bit of warping and perspective adjustments was a test shot I did of my back yard. It had trees, bushes and a fence. I have found those three items individually or all together at once caused havoc when I tried to align the pictures.
March 22, 2007 at 10:42 pm #8375DigginParticipantThere’s no problem evilzard. Just me being a pain in the ass from months of celibacy. Anyone here would agree it’s a great pic and I’m worse than scrooge on bad days. I can’t help it sometimes.
Sorry about the fuss but if you take the picture down it will hurt my feelings.
So don’t even think about it! I like the pic and I don’t take these contests seriously either. So accept my apology for being a dick about it.
March 22, 2007 at 3:25 pm #8370DigginParticipantI understand sarcasm will be in the photo contests and I believe thats part of what makes it fun. The others you mentioned were great too and I agree they were on-topic but I’m trying to be more specific by saying a Sloth (animal) is not a seven deadly sin. To me, the picture of a sloth in a “7 deadly sins” contest could be compared to someone submitting a picture of Rick Ocasek in a “The Car” contest. Or Larry Byrd in “The Birds” contest.
/Blah
What am I doing? I’m not arguing or even trying to. It’s not in my nature. Fuck it, the Sloth is funny and I need to get laid.
March 22, 2007 at 2:55 pm #8367DigginParticipantYeah, I’ve had my coffee, yelled at my coworkers and slapped the illegal alien cleaning crew girl so I feel a bit better now.
(Edited out my misquote)
I’m not mad and I do take most things seriously but taking a picture of a sloth just seems to be an easy way of avoiding the theme. Monkeyborts photo, yours and a few others are excellent representations of the theme and it bothers me that something like this sloth picture makes the top of the list because of it sarcastic value instead of creativity, quality of the photo with respect to the theme.
I will say that “Shades of gray poupon” was sarcastic and a good one but at least it was on topic. I liked it.
March 22, 2007 at 11:56 am #8364DigginParticipantI’m seriously disappointed that a sloth has taken the lead. There are many great representations of the 7 deadly sins and using a sloth, literally, just took the fun right out of it. It’s so far off topic and sarcastic that it’s almost an insult to the integrity of the contest, if there ever was any. Is this going to be the trend?
Just my .02 but keep in mind I’m grumpy in the mornings.
March 21, 2007 at 1:49 am #8341DigginParticipantLust. I was going to see if I could get one leaning into my Van window. Just a photo-op Zeke, just a photo-op.
March 20, 2007 at 11:49 pm #8339DigginParticipantIn my quest for a prostitute I couldn’t help but shoot this display. It was overly inspiring.
March 15, 2007 at 3:27 pm #9015DigginParticipantCongrats Chakalakakasperiskasp (?)
I regret not participating these last few weeks. I’ve been so overly swamped with work, kids and taxes I couldn’t even think straight.
February 22, 2007 at 2:17 am #8686DigginParticipantAny woman looks good to me.
