Coolness CISS. This also works as a “Bookmarks Toolbar” button in Seamonkey (and likely Firefox, IE et. al.) making it more convenient at least for me.

So, can I have some elaboration on this theme? Is it just modified framing (tilting the camera) of any subject or is the subject angular things or both?

Congrats to Ranger Joe/cameraflage on the individual win and to orionid on the combined win. Also thoroughly enjoyed fluffy’s Aggie joke.

I actually actually rented Das Boot (which I never got around to seeing when it first came out) after getting back from that trip. If you haven’t seen it, watching it while knowing just how tight those quarters are is quite the experience.

Thanks CISS, that’s nearly my favorite aggie joke, and plenty of my friends are aggies.

IMHO Das Boot is one of the greatest submarine movies ever made, but I like orionid, am biased.

If it’s good enough for them to want to print, it should be good enough for reasonable compensation; and how much is $100 in 2012 really worth, anyway?

Single ticket to the lower decks at a pro baseball game.
Single tank of gas in my truck.
    Handful of meals.
    50mm f1.8 lens.
    A few days rent.
    One night in a motel.

    Or for some people:

The bottled water served at one game in their ballpark suite.
A week’s pay for their chauffeur.
    The tip for a meal.
The fee their magazine pays losers for photographs.
    A minute’s rent.
One sheet of toilet paper at the hotel.

    /Awesome ennui, hope it flies

Man that guy’s attention to detail is exquisite!

I am definitely on a voyage of discovery with respect to fine tuning. I think I got the saddle right after a change there. It came with a race seat that killed me after two hours. I rode in the pictured one for 4-5 hours last weekend and didn’t feel anything afterwards.

The bars and stem are another thing. The two hour ride was ok, but the longer one killed my elbows. Had trouble “unlocking” them after (rode mostly on the hoods). Does this maybe mean the saddle is too far back or the stem is too long? Should there be some angle in my elbows normally?

That’s my Garmin PN-60. Goes with me hiking and now cycling. A lot of the guys I ride with use their phones and Endomondo, but I prefer to leave my phone strictly as a comm device and safely in the (waterproof) saddle bag.

fluffybunny – let’s see this new ride of yours.

Finally got a moment to breath.

The tie wraps are still uncut as I am working out the bugs as I go.
Its got a few nicks but I think pretty good shape. The guy advertised it as a “2010 Trek Pilot 2.1” but I’m pretty sure it’s a 2009 that sat in the shop until he bought it in 2010.

fluffybunny – let’s see this new ride of yours. Working on my on-the-move photography skillz.

That looks like a nice place to ride,.. smooth and no cars. I was still processing this week’s entries @ 1600 before I left for work so I’m a little strapped for time but I’ll get some up soon.

Fluffy-B (and orionid) – I’m 99.9% sure I’ll be sitting here at post time. I’ll let Fluffy do the honors but if that falls through just give me a heads up.

What I came here to ask is this…just what is this artifact called? The bloom, smeared look of the daisies.

I’ll be here at the opening so I’ll post Orionid’s stuff.

    Same here. Overcast with rain.

Speaking of which – did all our Dallas friends make it through today unscathed? Barracuda, fluffybunny – y’all OK?

Fine here,.. ‘Cuda was probably closer than I was, most of it went North and east of us.
