ParticipantQuestion: Can one use a picture — same frame — but edited differently? I’ve got two (well three) in mind.
1) I used in software hootenany but I like the original. Actually there are two like this; the other I used in color popping and I like the original
2) I used in who-knows-what but I’ve since tweaked the post-processing. I can go back and get the file that I submitted, but obviously I like the re-processing or I wouldn’t have done it.

ParticipantThis is going to be a sucktastic week for me, I can feel it now.

ParticipantWow, I actually thought I had some competitive pictures this week. So very wrong. Ouch.

ParticipantI have to watch because I used a couple in “Filtered for Your Protection” and that contest doesn’t show up in the FSM, so I have to make sure I double check which ones were already used.
It was filtered for our protection.
/sorry, I just don’t get tired of that joke… =P

ParticipantI’m really disappointed that my seasonally confused tree hasn’t gotten any votes yet. Not totally surprised, but disappointed. It’s a picture you have to actually look at to get, and we know how voters don’t like to actually look at pix lol. I think it’s a much more interesting picture than the claret cup cactus, but the cactus is ooh-look-purty. *sigh* voters. Don’t you want to just smack ’em sometimes? Present company excepted, of course. 😉
And welcome doublesecretprobation! I was very impressed by your entries. Usually I try not to look at who is the submitter until after I vote, in case I might be influenced by the knowledge, but I had to peek when I saw yours.

ParticipantYou still did not tell me what type of flower your last petal is.
Oops. Guess I should have gone back to the contest thread. Of course it’s a rose. Now that you tell me.
😳I knew you would feel silly when I told you. You with all your gardens and flowers. It was just really out of context for you. 🙂 Our plants don’t get covered in snow ‘n stuff. The roses take about 4 weeks off, tops.

Sorry to be confusing and post in both places!
It’s a rose! =D

ParticipantMopsy– I meant to also say “thanks” in my post to you but apparently my manners took a wee vacation. Rather than take up more thread space, I thought I’d post here. Let Fark think I have bad manners. Thanks for the compliment. 🙂
As for another post of yours, I’m sure someone related to you (*cough–U-Man–cough*) can tell you how to do the pops-to-larger thing…

ParticipantAnd one of those is being married to me, but I’m not going to speculate on which 😉
I know you’re very tired, dear, so i won’t give you a hard time about it: you’re the happy part. 😉

ParticipantJK, at first, I thought that was a doorway in the background. But that wouldn’t make sense – unless the bed was in the middle of the room. Of course, it’s curtains with the window looking like the top of a door. I see the spots now but didn’t notice them before. If you do it again, try one with the curtains all the way closed, too. That might work.
/oh yeah. And I’m happy for you guys. A good marriage is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than a bad one. Keep working and playing.
Thanks folks and see you next week.
I should shoot it both ways and see if we agree on which is better. 😉 I always learn from your perspectives.
Now for plants… it’s the easy subjects that can be the bitchiest contests….

ParticipantIt was good enough to snag my vote, Kat! Congrats to you and Olav!
Thanks for the vote and the congrats. I’ve been through several kinds of hell over the last couple of years, but at the same time I’ve never been happier. 🙂

ParticipantU-Man – Amusingly one of the defects is hidden by the other. 😉 If I re-take it I will move the curtains. I think the shot is centered where I want it, but the curtains aren’t evenly open. I would move them probably all the way out of frame, or wrap them on the bed-posts. However, if I had done that, defect number two would have stood out much more: spots on the glass on the left. You almost can’t see them with the curtain behind the glass, but boy would they jump out on that red background! 😛 Less important because it’s really nitpicking… I might also position the glasses slightly differently so that you could more easily read both names… I tried to do that, but as it turned out light was reflecting off olav’s name on both glasses. *facepalm*

ParticipantWell, how flippin’ unusual. My favorite shot is not only doing the best, but is going to be a top ten. Knock me over with a feather.
And every time I look at it I’m going to think of the two things I could have done to make it better, lmao. I will then proceed to remind myself that those things probably wouldn’t have affected voting, not at a farktography level. I may retake the picture, though, just for my own satisfaction. Maybe on our anniversary itself. =D

ParticipantInspiration: better late than never? I like the second one I posted anyway… Only two for me this week. Unless I dig up something from my archives in the next couple of hours…
