we’ll be in a state of flux for at least the next few days until we figure out the direction to head out in. on a great note our hosting and forums are intact. thankfully schnee’s FSM exists as it will be heavily utilized to look up past contests and such.

congrats to never odd or even. i also included artic_fun’s entry in the winners because we didn’t have a firm stance on the HDR issue before this contest (imo). but unless the poll numbers change significantly there will be no more HDR images allowed for the contests unless it’s distinctly part of the theme. fair enough?

Wouldn’t it be possible to have a HDR contest instead ever so often? That way everyone is on an even playing field in that too.

absolutely! we can have it as a theme, and as a matter of fact i’m thinking of pushing ‘autumn’ back a couple of weeks because i didn’t consider indian summer or that not everyone’s fall hits at the same time. we could totally do an HDR theme to fill in the gap.

the issue up for voting is whether or not HDR images should be allowed in every contest…

Absolutely, but this issue seems to keep rising to the surface so I wanted to get input from everyone. If the ayes outnumber the nays then we’d have to look at HDR itself more closely.

Yep. It will only fuel their perception that Farktography is only for Total Farkers. But Drew’s been pretty good at bumping the time up when he gets the Farkback. I know veruca’s done that before–can someone do that?

Farkbacking…Drew is usually great about responding so it should hit the front page sooner rather than 6am (yuck).
