Participanti’ve got a disclaimer in place in the boobies, hopefully people actually read them for once.
😛
thanks ‘bort 😀

ParticipantIf they appear I’ll do my best to avoid flaming the trolls. It will be hard I know, but I’ll try to avoid thinking with my itchy trigger finger 😉
It should be an interesting evening overall…!

don’t forget to vote in the poll in the themes section for “religion vs. religion + spirituality” for this week’s contest. 145 views and 7 votes! whichever gets the most votes will be the theme title (ie should we forget the spirituality part)home tomorrow! wheee! 😀

Participantif it’s in response to ch4r7ie’s suggestion re:classified ads at farktography.net, there are no plans to include commercial elements on our website. Drew Curtis owns the rights to the name and any question about commercial use would have to be addressed to him.
Seconding this as idle_hands is right on the money. Not that she needs me to second it but her point is absolutely correct.

Participantawesome greenlight time. and wow, lots of gorgeous photos out there!

Participanti think it’s open to interpretation. i was thinking about your belly shots, ‘bort, and wondered if you might submit one of them (they’re gorgeous). in that instance i think the belly alone would be great because it is a time and place type shot.

Participanti think HDR done right produces a beautiful piece of art. the only issue i had with it with regards to farktography is that you’re combining more than one photo into the contents of a single. that could be interpreted as being against the rules. and i echo what monkeybort said about significant alteration.
but did love your HDR photos chakalakasp, they’re very well done.

ParticipantMaybe this isn’t the place to be learning. That would be a shame, though, because I can’t get anywhere near as many objective eyeballs anywhere else.
I can’t even begin to count the number of things I’ve picked up and learned from others since I started participating. I believe this whole concept would be a fruitless effort and pretty pointless if we didn’t learn from each other. So if this isn’t a place of learning…well I didn’t get the memo either.

Participantyikes, did that go insta-green? 😛
thanks for posting the boobies monkeybort. it really is nice to have you back! *continues this morning’s happy dance*veruca
ParticipantSo I tried it out over the weekend and ended up starting a fire. I guess two halogen lights inches from a fabric-covered stand is a recipe for disaster.
This thread is useless without PICTURES!
Truer words were never spoken… 😉

ParticipantWell the description says:
It doesn’t matter if it is a domestic animal or wild animal. Furless animals and kangaroos are acceptable as well.
So I’d have to think birds and seals should work too…
But with the title “on all fours”, well…is there a line somewhere? Seals don’t have legs that they stand on. Birds are borderline; do wings count?
The only person who could really say is Cuddlebutt/ScreamingInDigital who was the originator of this contest a year and some months ago.
veruca
Participantthere was a turtle in the first ‘on all fours” contest! I think as long as there are 2 arms and 2 legs it should fly. seals…well i’m not sure about that one.
veruca
ParticipantDoes your camera have a setting for red-eye reduction? That can help greatly. Or do you have enough natural light that perhaps using the flash isn’t necessary?
veruca
ParticipantIt’s here! Haven’t taken it out yet. Where’s it going after me?
(GW did you get my email a couple of days ago? I’m never sure when I send from the IPaq) -
