The manual focus thing:
I find I get clearer shots with manual focus than I do with automatic. Could be because I’m so used to manual (been manually focusing since I was 16, dammit, and that’s a long time!). Could also be my subject matter. Autofocus on sports is usually very messy, I even use manual focus on my A70 if I’m doing motorsport, because the autofocus craps itself if I don’t.

farky – you can highlight other users in different colors so their comments stand out. for example – i have all the mods/admins farkied a pale pink. you can also add comments such as ‘asshat’ or ‘lives near me’ or ‘doesn’t enjoy bj’s’ or whatever you’d like to remember anyone by.

farkode – i *think* this assists with posting html – it will give you the code to do bold or italic or post a picture or whatever.

Ooooh.

I’m trying to port the FSM’s FAQ to a blog system. The question about how levels get calculated is the top item right now. You are all invited to view this work in progress.

After reading the rantings of idiots for the last three hours and trying to sort the 200+ photos I took at the weekend, my brain had gone to mush and it took me a few reads to get it, but if someone with a brain reads it, it’s pretty good. Once I figured out how dumb I was, it is pretty easy to follow.

You could try putting a (much less bright) light onto the front of the bottle, so that you don’t lose the effect but you can see the labels.

Any fully backlit situation is going to give you a silhouette, that’s the only thing I can think of doing to alleviate that.
