ParticipantI’ll admit to being the unvote yesterday on bastian_74’s dupe. But that was the only one I unvoted.

Participantyeah, all the photos are visible for me on a full-refresh of the thread.
If my luck holds, I may pull off the best finish yet for my full set. And “dark” usually isn’t my thing, or at least, I didn’t think it was…

ParticipantBy complete chance I ran across what looks to be a dupe. bastian_74’s entry appears to have been previously used in “Hope” and “Can I Get A Show Of Hands?”. File numbers don’t match, crop is slightly different, but wanted to bring it up.

ParticipantI think Rav probably hit the nail on the head Farktographer. At 640 it hard to get a grasp on what the image is trying to portray. Neither the shadow or the subject’s body position can really be understood.

ParticipantSince this one has no electrical or other connection to the camera beyond just securing the lens to body, it’s about as simple as can be. Hoping to get out for some better test photos this afternoon or this weekend at latest.

ParticipantGah, here I thought I was going to have a hard time coming up with 3 good shots, now I’m having a hard time picking my final 3 out of the 19 I uploaded. I’ve got my first two, and the last will probably come from one of these:

Participant$14 adapter ring is all it took to make this most unholy of unions. Works very well if I do say so myself, just the faintest amount of play between the adapter and lens, but it’s on there securely. Shooting in shady or into the sun appears to play tricks with the light meter some, need to take some more practice shots in those types of settings to get a feel for how to adjust for those conditions. Also want to take some shots with this lens and the Canon 55-250 I have to do a direct comparison.

ParticipantAnd a few of the shots, straight out of camera.

ParticipantNot planning on using this shot, but seeing if this is something that people would consider Noir-esque. My girlfriend felt it was scary with the lighting, but it doesn’t strike me as especially “noir.”
If there was a human shadow being cast in that blue light out from behind the building, you’d have something great in my opinion. With some tweaks to contrast and such, you could probably up the creepy factor, but to me, I don’t get much in the way of chills in my spine as is.
Barracuda
ParticipantOkay, that’s pretty much the best thing I’ve seen this week. And likely to see much of the rest of the week too. Thanks for sharing.

ParticipantFinally a few evenings with nice sunsets, and I’m out doing my “other” hobby, but did remember to bring my Canon SD1000 to get a few photos. Some help from lightroom at least made for some interesting results.

ParticipantCISS – Love both your B-A and B-C.
Looking at the photos above me and below me, I’d say I’m satisfied with my two 48th’s. I may have done better with one of my 3 Breckenridge CO churches, but wanted to use new shots that I meant to take as photography rather than quick snaps with a good camera while out on a walk on vacation. Of course, of my shot during my first trip to the little white St. Mary Baptist, this one is my favorite: https://picasaweb.google.com/102637182371352471338/PhotographyMisc#5707344852899301842, but it’s not Farktopgraphy approved.

ParticipantYeah, but you got some awesome shots near your house, so it’s fine. The first one with super-saturated blue sky and low-perspective of the church is amazing. If I tried that at my hometown…well, it’d be pretty damn boring.
The first of my B’s (if that’s the one you’re referring to) was from Breckenridge Colorado. 11,000ft elevation does amazing things for the saturation of the sky.
U-Man, the aisle shot is fantastic.
Barracuda
ParticipantLots of fantastic photos from all over the world. I’ve got the camera, now I need to get about that “travel” bit of the equation.
Barracuda
ParticipantMy B’s (a few of many really, didn’t even go through most of what I took at St. Mary Baptist tonight, grabbed what I thought was the best, a few tweaks, and it was show time).
