ParticipantAhg, already got Saturday evening plans as well. Next time perhaps.

ParticipantI just have to say fluffybunny’s windmill shot is superb. A number of other standouts as well. I only managed to get two shots done for this one and not going to attempt to find a 3rd quote to fit an archived shot. So onward to the next contest.

ParticipantHoping one of my shots last night is usable for my first line, have my second picked and need to shoot that tonight if I have any oomph left after 48mi on the road bike this morning. Still need to pick my third.

ParticipantHope everyone is safe. Seems like this latest outbreak has my dad spooked after dodging the bullet for 33 years in Dallas he’s looking into getting a shelter put in the side yard at his house in North Dallas.

ParticipantDamn, saw this a bit too late. Hope you had a good time here in Dallas.

ParticipantI’m tempted to use some of the photography books I have just to force myself to try a new technique while I’m out. Wife is out of town this weekend for a concert cycle in Midland, so I should have some time to get mine done Fri/Saturday.

ParticipantHenryhill’s second entry is really cool – how does one do that technique in-camera? Is it tilt-shifting of some sort?
I was wondering about that shot also. I’d be interested to find out if anyone gets the 411 on it.
Egad – I just checked my photo on the monitor at work and I’m so disppointed. At home there was plenty of detail visible…even the leaves on the trees along the fence, etc. Here it just looks like a blob of black with a couple of dots of light and a splash of green. Is that the general effect for everyone else?
I see some detail, as much as I’d expect for the size photo I’d guess.

ParticipantNo surprise Rav’s shot’s at the top of the heap thus far. Certainly one of my top picks. Wish I’d ventured out further to find some better subject matter, but I made due with the time I had.
Barracuda
ParticipantWill do. THank you.

ParticipantCould someone possibly either A) fix or B) kill my second entry with the screwed up sizing. Thank you. I can repost if killing it is easier.

ParticipantFunny, two of my shots have a very Noir feel to them. Put a gut casting a long shadow in the corner somewhere and I could have a B-side for last weeks Theme. We’ll see how they fare this week.

ParticipantOr you could be extra cruel to Nikon fans and do this:

and get results like this:

ParticipantDrat drat drat, my S90 apparently decided it wanted to use ISO 2000 (!!!!) for the last few snaps I got around the parking garage at the office. perhaps a convert to B&W and the grainy appearance may almost look intentional… then again, perhaps then I shouldn’t state here that it wasn’t. Guess I’ll try to drive in a few minutes early tomorrow and actually pay attention to the settings this time.

ParticipantA Holga pinhole lens for my Canon is on its way. Still considering also buying the normal Holga lens for it too. I do have the funds in PPal for it…

ParticipantSmall + underground + high contrast B&W = interesting in my book.
