I played trumpet/coronet from about the age of 6 – picked up my brother’s. Played Jazz band, went to camp, all that stuff. Switched to trombone in high scholl then left high school – that’s another story :0)

I play blues harp in the car- badly. mostly so I don’t smoke.
I’ve got a beautiful mandolin wasting away on a shelf. I’ve got to make time for it. But as usual torn between farktog., photoshop and commuting

I really don’t mind someone going up to 75-80K even, if it’s
really intricate and suffers from compression

I usually start with my photos at about 700 pixels wide and 50% quality. I then do a dance between lowereing the pixels and the quality til I get it somewhere near 50

If it starts out at 35K I’ll keep it there.

I think it may help to make the size limits (suggestions) more noticible in the guidelines. Currently most everything is in bold so it all seems important or not. Or maybe mention it as a reminder in the thread for the n00bs (notice I didn’t say liters 😀 )

The first time or two I posted I didn’t realize the limits.
I remeber posting something at 135k, re-reading the rule and then feeling awful.

I just need to vent a little about the posts
It’s suggested to post under 50KB yet many are over 100

I’m on dial up when I post from the UK at 1 in the morning.
I don’t get to see many of the pics until the next day or 2 at work.
I voted today and did a little protest vote.
I will no longer vote for anything over 75KB

I do my best to compress my photos and they do sometimes suffer.
I feel like an asshat for complaining but wanted to mouth off to someone..anyone really
