ParticipantHi guys, I need a ruling on this one, want to know if I’m stepping over some boundaries:

ParticipantThanks Orionid, I do understand it and again, I’m not trying to cause a problem, but it seems like we are splitting hairs over whether you can do what you do in camera vs. someone else doing the same thing in photoshop. It used to be clear because there did not seem to be as much in camera “stuff” going on, but now I see you can even do Tilt-Shift in camera as ravnostic did in this theme. I totally understand not being able to remove or add anything to a photo via photoshop but question where all the camera and filter technology is taking us.
To be fair, tilt-shift lenses have been around for decades, but I see your point. Just wait until Nikon and Canon incorporate Instagram in their firmware =)
While on the subject, what about lensbabies? I don’t own or intend to own one, I’m just being curious.

ParticipantGot it. In camera changes to coloration are okay but similar changes in photoshop are not.
Sort of… if you adjust your in camera white balance and saturation to create unrealistic results, that wouldn’t be okay either. But if you use a filter with your camera, or you use a camera or film specifically designed to create strange colors (like orionid) that’s ok.
This is why I like farktography. I got to dust off my old filters and I’m spending more time making photographs instead of photoshopping them.

Participant*sigh* Thanks to the IT guys at work (they accidentally erased my domain account) last week has ben hell for me… I’ll have to resort to the archive for this one, even though I wasn’t even considering it.

ParticipantNot really, I’m with Yugoboy on this one.

ParticipantOh boy… I think I have one (and only one) bird on archive… There’s a reason for that, I really suck at photographing birds. No to mention that there are almost no birds left in this polluted city I live in, and that I sold my 300mm years ago because I thought I had no use for it (other than gather dust).

ParticipantI did The Shocker for shits ‘n’ giggles, and thought it might raise a laugh+vote combo, but nada….
It surely worked for me, yet my wife couldn’t understand why… 😆

ParticipantWhy thank you. I shot the pics and put it together wham-bam this evening. I wish I had started earlier and got it more ‘perfect’. But I’m happy with it.
And I see that we had the same thought. Are the six shots of the pretty lady all for this theme? That’s a lot of make-up changing. It turned out really nice!
Yes, all of the shots were for this theme. The original idea was pretty simple: have four girls show up with different make-up, take four shots, profit. But something came up and I had to re-schedule the session, a task that became mostly impossible.
So I switched to only one model and a crazy mix-and-match session.

ParticipantHey U-Man, that pic, the one with the two sides of you, is awesome.

Participanti used to shoot for each theme if at all possible but RL has intruded in the last year or so and i archive dive far too much now.
This, RL can be a biatch sometimes. I try to have at least one dedicated entry for each theme though.

ParticipantYes ravnostic, that’s mine, glad you liked it. I also thought that it was the most balanced one coming out of that session, the one with enough vehicle in it.

ParticipantAt the last minute I was considering this one, which now I could label it a b-side:

Maybe that was hawt enough…

ParticipantWhoa, all of my entries are getting at least one vote… I wasn’t expecting it, specially with so many interesting ones being posted this week. =)

ParticipantNow I’m getting the hang of this and I can see a lot of potential. Have a couple of ideas that just might work.
