ParticipantCongrats! That’s some really exciting news

ParticipantI know I’m very new here, but I’d love to contribute if I can. If you still need proofreaders, that’s something I could handle 🙂

I can see myself getting into a lot of trouble with this one.

ParticipantI used to play with it in high school. We got it in chemistry lab. I had forgotten about it until a few years ago, when I found out one can buy it really cheap. 150 feet of that stuff for less than $15.
Where do you get it? Home Depot or some such hardware store?

ParticipantI LOVE magnesium ribbon. That stuff is so much fun.

ParticipantThanks for the input Elsinore and Plamadude. That was my first choice, but then I started over-thinking it 😳 I’m pretty sure I’ll be settling with that one.

ParticipantHaving trouble deciding between these two:

ParticipantWhat if I’ve got something scanned that i don’t know how long the exposure was for? Should I just ditch it for this contest?
Photo in question:
Any kind of estimate for how long the exposure was?

ParticipantHDR? Awesome shot.

ParticipantI’m guessing ceramics, even porcelain, would be excluded from this competition – seems like the subject should be straight glass.
Farktographer
ParticipantGot myself some empty glass bottles from work – hopefully I can get some pretty good photos out of shattering them. Then again, the whole destructive part should be fun anyways.

ParticipantMisery loves company – glad to see everyone else is in the same boat and having server issues with Fark 😛 I thought my internet was having issues for a while until I realized other sites were working just fine.
Thanks for getting rid of that buggy one, Elsinore

ParticipantCould I get my 2011-03-17 12:23:32 AM entry removed? It’s saying something about the server lying about data transfer and blah blah…having issues getting anything posted right now.

ParticipantEveryday or naturally occurring items…so I’m guessing signs are out of the question? No Hollywood Sign or things of that sort? Or does that fall into the “everyday” category?

Participantsilhouettes are pretty much the theme of my blackness, too.
