ParticipantCan someone tell me the URL for the page where I can test my post beforehand? I am using a different computer so don’t have my bookmarks.

ParticipantBut her comments almost made sense sometimes.

ParticipantI’d vote for waiting a little to see if the increase is just from changing from updating the hopper in bunches to continuously updating it and then if it does look like the hopper list is still growing quickly try upping the votes for adding themes by 1 if we need to later.

ParticipantI pissed up a rope once. Seriously.
Are you still mad about that school bus entry?
If so I thought that whole thing was pretty funny.December 17, 2010 at 4:15 am in reply to: 12-22-10 – Farktography Classic: Seasons Greetings 4 #35623linguine
ParticipantThank you all! I just didn’t want to turn a farktography thread into a flame war 😀
Farktography has survived me so you’d have to try pretty hard to damage it.

ParticipantMy vote would be to limit people to keeping there pictures as a single image. Allowing people to split their picture into a couple images could just open up a whole bunch of issues and allow people to get around the file size restrictions by letting people divide a normal sized entry in half so that they don’t have to compress the image size.

ParticipantI just have ONE question for everyone who posted a macro/close shot of their cats (Rav!) howinhell did you convince the cat to stay still long enough to compose and shoot? My cats SEE a camera and they become furry blurs.
With my cat I usually just put my camera down next to him and pet him for a minute or 2 which usually gets him relaxed and gets some of his desire for attention out of his system so he doesn’t just keep trying to walk over to me.

ParticipantJust out of curiosity, what sports have rankings where they skip places? I don’t pay much attention to that kind of stuff, but assumed they used normal/sequential ‘1,2,3….’ rankings.
Golf, which I’d say is a similar setup for the competition where everyone competes against everyone else at once.

ParticipantNow, see, I’m of the mindset of allowing cropping. For example, with a studio-style shot, I’ll use a prime, adjust the camera position to get the desired angle and perspective, take the shot, and then crop it because nobody wants to see my halogen lights, orange extension cords, flash falloff or a curious cat sticking his nose into the edge of the frame to see what’s going on in his usual lounging spot.
I think youre underestimating the power of cats.
