Alas, one of my favorite family shots is one where I set up everything on the camera down to the flash, exposure compensation, aperture, focal point, focal length, and exact positioning of the camera. But I didn’t have my tripod that day, so my sister had to be the remote shutter release. Just don’t feel like I could submit that since she pressed the shutter.

I kind of agree with what every one else said. It seems like you just had her be a remote shutter. You did all the hard stuff setting up everything. If everyone else is cool with it I am too.

“snip” But I also like the challenge of keeping that lens on all day and forcing myself to frame with it. I think I’ve grown a lot from making myself do that.

I think I need to do that more. I tend to switch lenses if I am not happy immediately with what I am seeing through the view finder. I love my f1.8 50mm lens but I don’t think I use it enough.

orionid, I’ve been having an issue with your entries sporadically not showing up the past couple of contests and I was finally able to capture a trace of it. Your server is returning HTML. It doesn’t happen every time nor with every entry, but I have seen it quite frequently the past two contests.

I tried several times to include the request/response in this message, but bbcode no likey, so here’s a link to a text file with the HTTP request & response.

It looks like your server is trying to tell the browesr to re-request the image again, but I’m not sure why. Has anybody else seen this with orionid’s entries?

As a matter of fact yeah I have seen his pictures be gone and then the next time I look at the thread they will be there again. I never said anything because I figured it was probably just the internet being finicky.
