lokisbong when you mentioned going to a cemetery for a picture I thought you were going to do a trick photography “hand of zombie popping out of the earth” shot so I decided not to shoot that one myself. Boo-urns.

I will also say nay to the idea of prizes. The idea of just giving prizes to random participants would be interesting but if it was for certain places I agree someone would try to game the system to get more votes.

Question: Things like paper mills around here make clouds. There’s this nifty plant nearby that looks awesome (I think) at night with the lights from the plant illuminating the cloud its making. Do those kinds of clouds count? They’re unintentionally man made, so I feel it proper to ask. It’s not smoke coming out, it’s steam.

I see your point about them being man made clouds since they are just steam. I think Plamadude30k is gonna have to weigh in on this one. I would probably say yes if it was my theme having seen a few plumes from paper mills in my time.

Nice star trails pictures. I cannot wait for the weather to clear up here So I can go out and get some more star trail shots.

The great thing about this forum is that if you ever have a photography question you will get dozens of relatively snark free answers. Speaking for myself, this forum and farktography itself is what brought me back into photography.

Well I just asked my room mate if he had a scanner. He got up, went to his closet and handed me a scanner / printer that somebody gave him for free. Now all I have to do is find the software online and I am in business. Woot.

The last Catholic church I was in had no problems with me taking pictures as long as It wasn’t during a service and I didn’t use my flash. the second part was a bit of a bummer but sometimes you just gotta go with the flow so to speak. I know at least on of my pics for this is coming from a cemetery.

I like Ban Hammer. I think that might be some Norse blood showing itself. Ban cannon would be cool also. But really I prefer to use my Canon for more peaceful uses.
