Els I just decided that if I’m going to keep participating, I just can’t give a rat’s ass. No one really liked the tomato shots I did a few contests back, so I don’t expect this will do very well either. *shrugs*

If I gave a rat’s ass I would have given up a long time ago. I’m usually surprised by which of my shots do well and very often left scratching my head at the failures.

I sold my 18-105. Hated it. Way too slow focus motor. The IQ was good but I couldn’t get over that lumbering focus motor. My lightning fast Sigma 17-50 has me spoiled I guess.

I threw those together kind of flying by the seat of my pants. I don’t like meatloaf, so I figured I’d make more a baked cheeseburger, and they were awesome–1 was enough for dinner, and I have leftovers for lunch or dinner tomorrow. Next time I’ll use even more cheese and bacon in the ground beef mixture.

Unless I somehow missed it, I don’t think this was answered, so I’ll bump it to the head of the thread. I would guess that you are allowed to use that stuff, but NoBigDeal is the boss hog on this one.

That sucks. My only advice would be to hold of on selling the gear until absolutely necessary. I know you have probably heard this before but have you considered moving somewhere cheaper to live?

I worded it as “Difficulty: No police, unless they’re photographed with bacon products or Kevin Bacon.” So if someone does get a picture of a cop eating bacon, it would still be fair game. If that doesn’t work, let me know!

Just my luck, a few months ago I cleaned out my contest folders, leaving only the ones I actually entered. Serves me right for trying to organize something.

I have a Triptych that has one different panel out of the three than the one that was entered. Would that qualify?

Obviously the “qualify” question is up to mopsy and NoBigDeal and possibly Elsinore, but one of my entries this week was going to be a panel from a tiptych that I did not use, but I changed my mind in favor of another b-side from another contest. So now I have a b-side from a b-side contest. When does that contest come around? Every hundred years?

The original intent of the B-Sides was to use shots that you were considering using for a theme but decided not to. I would say that the triptych you are talking about should work.

I did the 365 thing in 09, tried again in 11 and made it three months before giving up. I may try a 52 this year with a theme. I haven’t decided one way or the other yet.
