I didn’t have much difficulty with this one. I just went to the grand opening of the bar, said I was taking pictures of the event, and people posed–sometimes a lot of posing. Alcohol is a social lubricant! Whether they’ll get any votes or not I can’t say–the photographer was drinking also…

I’m tending toward another approach, farktographer, now; I figured out a legitimate way to get an apple into one shot, and I’ll just link to it (germane-ly) in my posts, as a keepsake. ;o)

I was going for more interaction with the subjects, ennui, So I’m all for stuff like ‘Milliner’ (my personal fav), where I see that. But voters tend to vary, so don’t put my stamp on it.

I got my three, and have yet gotten nothing for apples and oranges but ideas, and I’ve been down with something, so haven’t had the energy. Doctors tomorrow, hopefully I’ll get into good enough shape to do something. (Tonight, though, I ate without puking for the first time in 3 days, so maybe it’s going to pass.)

What a fantastic collection of shots!!

All but one of them–perhaps–will be gone in 25, 35 years. How powerful to have them pose for these. It think this would be an excellent idea for a contest, though the expense and time, even at Kinko’s rates, would be prohibitive to a lot of folks. Perhaps the farktography community could stage a *special event*? Not a contest, but a showcase? One photographer, one picture (personal favorite)? I dunno. I think it would be awesome. Maybe find some of those who moved on to other things brought back for it…
