Wow Snug Tight, I’m happy that you did not fry your camera’s circuitry. I’ve heard that older flashes on newer D-SLRs can be a very-bad-thing, due to the older flashes’ having a high sync voltage. Did you use a safe-sync device or something?

I had a chance to see the Reverend Horton Heat at ACL Fest this past weekend. I specifically attended that show since I remembered he has some fans here. I’m glad I did, it was a fun time. (I bounced back and forth between the Rev and The Mighty Clouds of Joy)

Pretty much Fark rules take precedence on these. If it is NSFW, you need to link to it or risk deletion. The “difficulty” of this contest (read the rest of this thread) does not disallow suggestive-ness, so you are good there.

We’ve had plenty of suggestive images before.

You didn’t break it – my infallible failsafe code failed. The theme is fixed for “live” reports (main page, Contest Contour, Farktographer Portfolio). The generated reports (everything under Recent, Evar, and Operations) will be fixed once the system refreshes (tonight, if I recall the schedule correctly).

That’s two, count them, two bugs, ah hahahaha: failsafe code, and OBOs.

Don’t forget Pentax has a few great DSLRs for under $600 too (even under $500 if you shop around, under $400 if you don’t mind used).
Built in shake reduction is nothing to sneeze at. The lens selection is pretty good too.

Yes, that’s it. “They” bought the 24-105 f4L “kit” lens, and I have access to an 90mm T/S, a 70-200 f4L, a 24-85mm, and a 70-200 f2.8 and I think the 24-70 f2.8L and the 85mm 1.2L(!) (but I’d have to bring along an “assistant” to get those last three – he owns them).

I’m actually going D-SLR for a gig. Time, budget and output resolution were all determined by people other than me – I looked at the requirements of the project, drew up a list of candidate bodies and “they” chose the 5D. It is a bit long in tooth, but I’m just the photographer. Woe is me… 😉

I’ll be checking out the blowers and DxO.
