    Thanks for these responses 🙂

I saw the option for RAW + JPG on the camera and wondered what good it would be (hence no option :P), I never thought of using it as Zeke suggests.

I had some dolls left over after the band photos theme so I was lucky in that regard.

Thinking of something to do with them was a lot harder though!

Finally, a legitimate use for the ethnic Barbie my wife brought home from India. Now if I can just figure out how to recreate a tsunami in my bathtub.

Here use this link as inspiration 😛

Not to be a pathetic n00b, but what time does the contest usually kick off?

    Depends on your Fark status:
TotalFarkers see it at 8pm CFT (central fark time)
Farkers see it usually between midnight and 4am CFT

    /UltraFarkers see it now 😛

I was more worried about the mirror motor would cause a spark than the flash, but as the motor is inside the camera it too should be safe.

If I’m wrong, just think of the photo and entry in next years Darwin awards 😛

    Anyone know Jam & Spoon?

I remember the name from many a year ago but after checking wiki I can’t remember any of their songs. Apparently they are the same people who make up Tokyo Ghetto Pussy (that would be a scary photo! :P)

The first pic has backlighting and the second has a pink filter applied evenly. What is better?

I think your second image looks better, it feels more alive to me.

i’ve seen people do this in farktog threads but can’t figger out how it’s done: how do you post the pic so that clicking it takes you to the bigger version?

If I understand you correctly, you would need to do:

This code will also make the bigger picture pop in its own window

Shoot, I just now got to reading this thread. 🙂 I shot the wide stuff with a Canon EF-S 10-22. Great lens if you have a Digital Rebel or a 20D or a 30D. It effectively becomes a 16-35mm lens, which I loooovvveeee. Only downside is the price, around $700. You can get nearly the same thing for much cheaper, though, if you’re willing to buy Sigma; Sigma has a 10-20 for around $500, IIRC.

Thanks for that. I have the Canon Rebel so I think one of those lenses will be the next upgrade to my kit 😀

there are a nice range of “favorite places”. and some great shots.

I was expecting a lot more photos of beds or computers so it is nice to see I was wrong 🙂

Thought about taking a photo of my bed and/or computer area 😛
\I had completely forgotten about the bathroom!
