A certain level of smarts are needed so that you can get through the work fast enough to prevent getting buried. But med school is more a test of endurance than brilliance. I mean, that nuclear physics (and the math involved) stuff is harder than renal physiology. My day-to-day job is harder than med school.
Funny. I see my 7th grader complaining about how hard all of her work is. And I remember thinking that HS finals were a bitch. Then that term paper in college was sooooo hard. Med school was harder, etc.
Life just goes faster and faster and faster. Being a parent can be harder that all of the ‘work’ stuff. I’m glad I have found photography and the farktography community as a source and outlet for fun and creativity.

Yikes! A new job and a baby on the way. Sounds like it could be the recipe for a perfect storm of stress. Here’s wishing you smooth sailing on both counts.

Bought a house

On your “manmade lightning” shot, do you happen to know what was generating the spark?She may have specifics, but I know that my uncle was an EE. He is super, SUPER organized and has an entire barn full of old things. They’re all boxed and labeled. I’m sure he set something up for her and the only “price” she had to pay was an impromptu lecture. 🙂
Participantconsidering the poor condition of the power cord, I’m surprised I didnt generate any sparks simply by plugging it in.
Mr. Mopsy has a few shop things like that. It can be unnerving plugging them in.
ParticipantHeh. One could probably take photos of 3+ types of “weather” and never leave the house. I know that the outside type of weather is the idea behind the theme but, if necessary, most folks have a freezer, a shower, a swimsuit, some sunglasses, an umbrella, maybe winter boots, etc. With some thought all of these could mean “weather”.

Ranger – I can’t figure out those fireworks either. Were they going up. Or is the white ball at the top of each the ‘boom’ and then colors fell? Naaa, why would they shoot down and not out?
I like heebe_stevo’s sparkler circle photo. It has a feel to it.
ParticipantPlamadude and orionid, thanks for the comments. I feel (a little) guilty for using that one. I mean, it falls within the rules but… I coulda, shoulda used a different one. At least I had the decency to avoid the ‘Moonsparkles‘ TM.
This week was a Tuesday night archive dive. Which reminds me, next Christmas holiday season, we should pick some broad archive dive friendly themes. I think the ‘Dreams’ theme fell short of its potential due to crazy schedules.

Participantrav – I used a similar gecko for the lizard theme, I already did a kinda-repeat with the snow sparkles, and NBD got his plasma thing in early. 🙂
But thanks. I didn’t know if the gull and lens flare halo was sparky or arc-y enough.
