ParticipantU-Man, although I’m afraid it’s still going to kick my ass, the operative part of your question is “Three Sisters PARK“.
I’ll go with yes (since it turns out it’s my theme 🙂 )
Cool. So it’s a pretty open theme. We will have to operate on the honor system (like we do for lots of stuff) this week. I have some photos of birds and cattails and whatnot that were taken in a local park. But they could easily have been taken in Mopsy’s yard.
/ I don’t even know if I’ll use the festival pics.

ParticipantI’m 100% sure I have multiple pics from multiple parks. But would photos I took at a music festival (with attendance of 60K hippie freaks) at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL fit the spirit of this theme?
Don’t hesitate to say no if they don’t fit.

ParticipantThanks guys. I came really close to sitting this one out. Then the composite U-Man shot popped into my head late Wednesday. I’m glad I did it.
Also, per Mopsy’s advice, I just downloaded Picasa 3 and used their collage maker. Easy-peasy.

ParticipantHey U-Man, that pic, the one with the two sides of you, is awesome.
Why thank you. I shot the pics and put it together wham-bam this evening. I wish I had started earlier and got it more ‘perfect’. But I’m happy with it.
So is it really just two actual pictures/exposures that you cut up in different ways to assemble? Or is it several of each “side”?
It’s eight separate pics. #8 is a bit of camo-shorts stuck in between my left leg and black shirt ’cause there was a gap I didn’t like.
I was stunned by some entries with 0, 1 or 2 votes this morning, too.

And I see that we had the same thought. Are the six shots of the pretty lady all for this theme? That’s a lot of make-up changing. It turned out really nice!

ParticipantOK. I finally got my trailer lights fixxored. I was going to sit this one out but…I just can’t. I have an idea and it hasn’t been posted yet so now I’m off to take some pics and then put ’em together.
U-Man
ParticipantI would like to postpone this one too.
U-Man
Participantalso it was nice of you to respond to both of U-man’s posts.
I lol’ed
Hey folks, I will be attending my lovely wife on a faux riverboat on the lovely Illinois River tonight for some sort of lovely dinner cruise. I’m sure all of the guys are jealous of the lovely time I’m sure I’ll have. *cough, cough*
Anyway, I won’t be around to give a thumbs up or thumbs down regarding questions. My intent was to keep this as open as possible and let the voters decide. A vehicle is – for this theme at least – anything that helps get something from one place to another. Boat, plane, skis, skates, car, sled, hovercraft, etc etc etc. Real, model, painting, legos, I don’t care. Just DON’T over-process it in Topaz Adjust. 😛
I’ll also be posting late.
Maybe I’ll get lucky, too. 😯
I know. TMI. Whatever. Bite me.

ParticipantYeah. I went fishing with the girl-child instead of doing any sort of camera out-the-window shenanigans. I haven’t even looked at the archives…
/ but my photo-fu has been pretty strong for the past few months. I’ve been motivated – just not always motivated for a specific theme. Which is OK I guess.
//got one 18″ largemouth and one 33″ muskie.
///Oh. And I pulled a rookie mistake. I brought my camera and was happily taking pics of a baby swan sitting on his mama’s back. Decent pics, not great. I tried to preview a shot and saw…”No Card”. Damn.U-Man

ParticipantHere’s my low-tech fix.
Have wife drive.
Hang camera on tripod out rear passenger window. Have shutter release cord attached.
(maybe put an extra tie or tape on camera to decrease blood pressure)
Get camera close to the ground (but not too close)
Take pichurs
Flip photos top-to-bottomI just might try it.

ParticipantDude, that’s awesome, I’d use that in a heartbeat
What Yugo said.

ParticipantDo scale-models count?
Sure thing. Except you can’t put gorillas or dinosaurs on them.
/just kidding. you can. I just wanted to get Ranger Joe’s attention.

ParticipantOut-of-the-box thinking is fine. While the vehicle doesn’t have to be the only subject, it should play an important role in the image. An incidental car at the side of an image isn’t in the spirit of the theme. The vehicles are important to a busy New York street with taxis and pedestrians and a newspaper flying through the air.
ennuipoet – If you think the streaks of light will say “vehicle” to the voters, go for it. If not…well then hold on to it for the streaks of light theme.
/and no. I don’t think there really is that theme…yet.
