ParticipantI can do it. They changed the posting thing though and it threw me for a loop for a minute until I found the Raw HTML button.
Ditto. Thankfully I hit preview on my first post instead of going direct to comment.
Great shots already, love these themes that have a very wide selection of subjects possible.

ParticipantYou’ll be very much missed and we await your return. As an admin on a very large forum elsewhere, it’s always good to take a step back from time to time from online duties just to refresh and renew your enjoyment of the online community.
I’d throw my hat in the ring to help, but I’ve been letting my other commitments elsewhere on other said forum slip far too much lately to consider that a wise decision.

ParticipantWhat webhost are you using? Picasa was breaking my images for a short time which ended with a couple of my entries being axed, so I started putting a standard statement at the bottom that any broken links should be resolved automatically.

ParticipantNew lens day is a happy day. 28mm f1.8 from a friend who’s going to that ‘N’ brand.

ParticipantWent by the park last night (to test out a new-to-me 28mm f1.8 :)) and found that the city is indeed serious about getting the hazard that sent me flying off the bike resolved.

Obviously they’re still working on it, but all of those old plastic pipes are gone, the ground has been built up even more, and appears to be a concrete mold being built.

ParticipantThanks all for the input, and of course as always, while the photo may pass muster with the judges, one must also consider the voters. 🙂

ParticipantPope Larry II – lovin the Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia shot. (along with many many others already posted). Would have probably healed out that one dark spec though (bird, dust, ??)

ParticipantOh, and fyi, just since someone else asked over on my facebook page when I posted my first shot (tree/sunset) there a few days ago, no it’s not HDR. But I do have a set of bracketed shots waiting for when I have the $$ for Photomatrix or HDR Efex 😉

ParticipantTwo B’s to kick off this evening off while I wait for the last 4 mins till the thread goes live:
Texas valley meadow:

Oak Point reflections:

Could have easily picked a dozen other choices too. Apparently I’ve been shooting a lot of landscapes, and even some in the portrait orientation.

Participant^ ^ yeah, that was my thinking too, this leans more into sculpture than statue. Thus my decision to throw it out there for feedback.

ParticipantOut of bounds for “statue” ??

ParticipantOne of the many many places on my list of destinations. Thanks for helping bump it up a couple spots. Great shots!

ParticipantSomeone has a demo of Silver Efex Pro 2 (deciding if I want to buy the complete pack with Color Efex and HDR Efex)
Rework of a shot I took during the Scott Kelby Photo Walk in Grapevine.

Lake Lavon (still debating this one for tonight’s theme, as if I don’t have 6 other choices I’m trying to narrow down)

Farmland at sunset (color version will likely make it to tonight’s theme, will have to wait till then to see it. :p)
