ParticipantI think this is going to be one of those contests where if I have an entry in the top 20 I’ll be extremely satisfied. Some fantastic photos already.

ParticipantGreat shots, recognize the shot of Tahoe from our trip a couple years back. Great vantage point for photos of the lake.

ParticipantI’ll be getting mine done tomorrow, thankfully this one is a fairly easy archive dive, next week though I may be S.O.L.

Pre-crash photo op of the Schwinn Crosscut at Oak Point in Plano. Started to go through the photos from last night, a few good, but the sunset shots did not come out as nice as I had hoped.Barracuda
ParticipantI’d considered new/old nickels, fishing lures, bicycles (or parts), computers… etc… but ended up with 3 shots of camera equipment as well.

Participant^ ^ this. The machine’s motherboard may also have a limitation. I’m on Home Premium with the laptop, so I can go to 16gigs, which is the same as my desktop currently has. Lightroom is crazy fast between the memory and running from an SSD drive.

ParticipantI did the same over the weekend, I went with my second Toshiba (after 7 years on my previous one). I debated the bigger model with the 10-key on it, but decided to go with the smaller 14″ screen model without it. I don’t do much of my heavy computing work on it anyways, the desktop machine is for that which I rebuilt back earlier this year. Mine has the new 3rd gen i5 in it, USB3, 6 gigs of RAM (not sure what the old one has in it, probably 4, I’ll likely throw 16gigs in the new one eventually). Upgraded mainly because I didn’t want to sink the $$ into a new battery when I was already unhappy with the power cord situation after having to replace both the cord and port on the computer early in the year. Hope to be able to sell off the old one for enough to at least cover the cost of those replacement parts.

ParticipantRav’s wine glass is very nicely executed. I considered using a shot of a wine glass myself, but not nearly as cool of a demonstration of a science principle (condensation). My pics are doing about as I expected…

ParticipantFinally picked my 3 out of the archives, granted fairly new archives…

ParticipantAlright, I tell myself I’m not going to plead to the farktorgraphy forum each week when I have a difficulty narrowing down the last final picks, but here I am again throwing my hands up in the air with 20 mins till go time.
