heehee, I was thinking it was toast so what was missing was “moar jelly” 😉 At least I got that more was needed on the bread. I’m so weird about my toast/sammiches, though, that I just kept wanting to spread the jelly to the edge of the bread on the piece that was “done”. 😛

Yeah, there’s no predicting the voters. I knew I had nothing spectacular this week, and i know it’s a low-voting contest, but ravnostic, I too am disappointed. I didn’t feel they sucked that bad. But I did realize they didn’t have what I call “grab”. What can I say? I just never managed to capture grab for this contest.

Oh, and for what it’s worth at this late hour, I too, am against using the scanner to create a “photograph”. I think restricting farktography to pictures that are taken with some kind of camera and have minimal processing is a good one and a feature that contributes to my enjoyment of the activity.

As for mine, I’m saddened that no matter HOW MANY TIMES and HOW MANY WAYS I took my picture, I could NOT get a super-clear shot!! Must be something about my screen vs. my camera.

It’s a problem with taking pix of computer screens. This is a picture that I snapped (had to snap fast, due to the subject) on my computer screen… I didn’t spend all the time you did, but I think it illustrates the same kind of issues you had.

I have no idea what all this means, but it does show that for me these contest are enlightening. So thanks to all you fine people for pushing themes I don’t find comfortable. I would never have taken some of the photos I have today if I hadn’t been trying to meet the contest criteria.

That’s why I love farktography. That and the interaction with some really quality folks. <3

I never realized how lucky we are, with the constant foot traffic in Old Sac. It’s a cornucopia for people watching, and has given me the bug for this type of photography, though I have to admit that the pix I’m entering aren’t my most recent. Anyway, I am now officially considering myself lucky.

Since Olav and I have been talking about this contest since before it was in the hopper, I’ve been quietly collecting pix for a while. Which is very lucky since I have the flu right now and was in no shape to go out over the weekend. 😯

I’ve got it narrowed down to 4… It’s almost got to be better than last week. 😉

One of my entire posts seems to have disappeared. It was of a small train station in the snow (No Catchy Nickname). Is due to a glitch in the matrix, or did it contravene rules somehow? I am pretty sure I have never posted it before in a competition (I only took it a month or so ago).

If your image broke, the post would be deleted automatically. If you believe your image location is in good health it may be possible to restore your post. Sometimes a post will get deleted due to a temporary glitch in something like Flickr, so it happens.
