My daughter caught this guy on the driveway tonight. I don’t know what he is, but I took pics anyway. This one fits in tonight’s theme.

Aw, he’s cute & I almost used one of my snake pics tonight, it was hard deciding for this contest, especially since my eyes are still wacky. I just noticed that my hummingbird one looks kind of desaturated. I don’t know if it’s my eyes, Flikr messing with it or if I accidentally did something I didn’t mean to when prepping it.

CRAP CRAP CRAP!! I forgot to choose pics last night and just got home with dilated pupils after my eye exam…I can’t see shit and EVERYTHING is bokeh! lol Well, I’m gonna be late to the party tonight, that’s for sure.

Honestly not too concerned about it. If they’re reading the contest (which never happens anyway right) they can google something if they can’t figure out what’s going on.

If you guys are talking about clarifying the description of the contest, I think a little bit more info would be helpful to voters and some of us submitters too. I doubt many of the non-photog voters will take time to go read up on what ‘bokeh’ is or how it relates to depth of field & the contest.

Rav, I’d also like to hear what others think, I’d lean towards the first, but am a bit confused too.

I just racked up 1163 outtakes and 51 maybes that will cull out maybe two keepers. This better damn well be worth it.

My b’s are interior shots of the Central/Jackson underpass used in my 2nd photo. It was at 1a.m. I first shot there; but upon going home to process, discovered I’d gunked up my lens and everything had fuzzies. Went back at 3a.m.-ish. And it really isn’t a nice neighborhood. Both sides of the tunnel smelled like pee, and during the entire time, I’m checking up and down the tunnel for nefarious lurkers (didn’t see any,though, **phew**)

I was gonna say that you were either very brave, had a couple of bodyguards with you or you’re crazy to be down there taking pics at night ! 😆 (great job tho!)

Thanks! The contest was already open to TF by the time I decided to enter after remembering I had the basketball shots from my recent trip and then decided on a horse one instead of a 3rd bball.

So even when you don’t think you have anything for a contest, try and find/shoot sometihng anyway. You never know what will happen! 🙂

Got their fans all worked up at SB XXX when I was sitting in the middle of a big group of them telling them it was a good thing they brought their stupid ‘crying towels’ to sop up their tears. 😆

LOVE your horse racing shot, even though I DESPISE that industry too. Heck, I don’t even like taking the rodeo shots I’ve done because it’s so hard on the horses and they get hurt all the time. (yes, I’m a head-case…lol)
