ParticipantIs the comment coil222 made a few minutes ago gonna stay up for long? That might just offend some people.

ParticipantThe local thrift shop has the most dismal collection of records it is not even funny. 97% of the record sleeves I found there either didn’t have pictures ala best of Burt Bacharach type o crap and religious records that were so worn out you couldn’t make out what the picture was originally. Still searching for friends with an old collection I can dig through.

ParticipantOh, I’ve been waiting, not so patiently for this one! Yay!
Me Too!!! I am surrounded by places that work for this one. I have about a thousand pictures to choose from already. lol
lokisbong
ParticipantVery cool. I have one or two for this one already if I remember right.

ParticipantBoth of the processed versions are cool.

ParticipantWell, I procrastinated right past this one. I win!
Then it’s a tie. I had planned on actually doing something for this. I haven’t been posting because I haven’t had any shots that felt like they would get more than 1 or 2 sympathy votes. lol I have been just not feeling very creative lately and I figured it’s better to have something I like at least even if the voters don’t.

ParticipantRav. Not a composite. I just took a I believe it was 1 second exposure and then turned down the brightness a full stop or a bit more in Canons DPP. The ISO was at 800 I think. It was really Dark out by that point. I never realized how long that shadow has to chase the Moon to make it that pretty red color either.

ParticipantI Actually Made it for this eclipse! Woo Hoo!!!

Lunar Eclipse ! by lokisbong, on Flickr. First Eclipse I have ever witnessed. And that’s 42 years worth of misses until now! Unfortunatly I only took the tripod and camera and remote trigger and forgot the other batteries so I didn’t get totality. I saw it just didn’t get it on camera. Doh!lokisbong
ParticipantVery cool! great photo.
lokisbong
ParticipantWhoa! That’s a hell of a camera.
lokisbong
ParticipantToo cool!

ParticipantI almost always at least take my point n shoot. It is super old and abused now because of that policy but it is still plugging away taking pictures although lately it seems the picture quality is getting harder to achieve with the old canon a560.

This took a dozen tries to get it to focus on the windscorpion at least. I spotted it and took a bunch of so-so pictures of it while I was at work.lokisbong
ParticipantNice. I’m a bit jealous also. Although at 14000 ft there and 6030 here it would appear our weather is about the same.

ParticipantVery cool. I wish I knew how to get that much color out of my north American star trails. I bet good glass has a lot to do with it.
