oooo i didn’t know they made a locking one! that would be nice if you were using a tripod i’ll bet. i would think otherwise you’d have to remain infuriatingly still to maintain the focal point.

i’ve got the 2.0, i’ve never used another one. i really really like it – it DOES take some getting used to though. i usually take 3-4 shots of every composition just to try to make sure that something in there is sharp. i really like it for farther away stuff – for example:

    and

it is harder to maintain focus when you’re that far away from something, though.

monkeybort you can always follow my tried and true posting method. shot what you think falls within the general parameters of the theme and F anybody who doesn’t like it. may not get you a lot of votes if others think it’s outside the theme or don’t understand them but hey, got to be true to your artistic eye.

i can dig it….plus i found some great apartment/house/flat shots from prague that i think will work great as well.

    😛

now i’m torn on this one. i shot a bunch of inside stuff that sums up the ‘no place like home’ phrase for me, but doesn’t really fit the description other than being shot in a house. shit.

what ISO was the film? really fast film (such as 3200) is a lot more sensitive than slower film.

and sorry galley, i know nothing of sump pumps!

lens, variety of offbrand lenses, bigger name in the photo industry, etc.

probably mostly my brand snobbishness talking, though. 🙂

i think it could be, stapler. the phrase ‘no place like home’ calls up a lot of interior type thoughts for me.

that does suck huge. i agree – no more of this generic crap. sometimes brand names are good! we love labels! yay consumerism!!! USA is A-OK!!!

    *whack*

    whoops, sorry ’bout that. 😛

/seriously, i’m all in for Lexar and SanDisk. that is all i’ll get now after losing a folder’s worth of shots from my honeymoon. sure it was the last day and my husband has nearly identical images, but still. could’ve been a LOT worse.

providing you can find a model, of course.
