ParticipantThanks for the tips, Elsinore and Kestrana. I’ll be fiddling around with Flickr and figuring it out with your suggestions 🙂
Or, just buy a $12 domain from godaddy, and use the free hosting account for posting your images. //sayin’

Participant#5380; how did you get the anti-vignetting?
#5422 and “The Dance”, did you use a special filter to get those rays eminating away from the subject? (I ask as I’m working on the Darlot Project, bringing 1879 glass to my 2005 EOS.)

ParticipantYour horse pictures excite me every time. You have a real gift for them, and deserve every bit of recognition.

ParticipantU-Man, while I like teh funnay ones (and find them quite funny), it feels to me that the glass isn’t the focal point. I doubt the voters will care about that, but even without that consideration, I like #4.
rav, great minds and all, I guess, but I’ve got a really similar B to your last B. My one and only bee.
I could crop to that exact shot. The ‘b’ is the b/w version; I opted for color to make the neon lighting’s pattern in the reflections a little more evident as such (whether that gets conveyed or not, who knows.)

ParticipantI like the pipe. They don’t change color so much as add orange-tinted resin, which alters the color’s appearance over time and usage.
//or so I’ve read–I surely don’t remember directly those hazy days.
U-Man, I’m partial to Chicago_4605, but only because I’ve taken a similar shot that I like–and almost used (see my b’s).

ParticipantFor waterhouse stops, I’ve decided to work with cookie press die. They’re about the right size, or I can affix them to something that is. Only $15 bucks at amazon; they’re aluminum which I can paint, and the ‘odder’ shapes I can just keep for making cookies (though some of those might be fun, too.)

I’m lacking in a couple things still; I need a way to attach the darlot to the coupler without damaging the darlot. The waterhouse stops I’ll need to work on once I have the plates in, about a week. I may have the rest figured out, by then. I hope.

ParticipantPlease help, I’m sick, and tired, and can’t think clearly.
You poor thing! I like Glass Nebula, I like mothership but don’t think it will vote well (like I know, yeah), and Curvy Crystal is good, too. If Bertha has a glass eye…nevermind.
//I’m down to my 3 selections, just can’t pick between a color or b/w version of one.

ParticipantI was out shooting pics for ‘Glass II’ and happened upon what I thought was a nice scene. I stole a few shots. Apparently a few too many, as the couple approached me shortly afterward–to ask if I could send them any good ones. Well, insofar as the focus not being quite perfect, meah. But they’re nice enough for them, I suppose. Truthfully I was more interested in the artist/illustrator who was seated behind them. We takes the pictures we have before us, not the ones we want.
But the whispering rabbit makes the pictures, IMHO.

//don’t click the pics, they go to full-res 6.5mb images. And they aren’t any more in focus.

ParticipantI’m convinced. I ordered 5 knock-off brand body caps for a buck apiece, plus $3 and change in shipping. I’m in.

Participantwho’da thunk a post about a camera bag would spark so much conversation?
//Gawd, we’re a bunch of geeks.
////Fortunately, I think ‘Glee’ makes that a cool thing, these days. Anyone care to break out in song?
ravnostic
ParticipantGee–I was all proud to have the ‘Canon’ logo on my bag–but then I can see the point about its making it a target for theft. I’ll consider removing it. I might not remove it–but I’ll consider it. 🙂

ParticipantI have four so far. Oddly enough, all are natural (not man-made) objects.
Is one of them the letter ‘U’? cuz, ya know, that would just be too appropriate.

ParticipantKeep me posted for Sunday/Monday/Tuesday observations; those I usually could do. I look forward to a night without clouds!!
