This is exactly what I wanted to do with this theme (I also wanted to do it for “Barbie and Ken”). But, Mrs Schnee’s good taste and lack of finding an appropriately scaled 60’s era convertible stymied me.

Just a chronological display of entries, in other words?

I’m sort of planning on a tech upgrade and that is sort of one of the things I’m going to address. I’ll probably make the headings click-able – one click sorts the column descending, one click sorts it ascending. “Theme” (sorted by ID, so chronological), “Votes” and “Standing” would be sortable.

As always, give me time.

Since I did not get an answer to my first question, let’s try this a different way. Can we put text on our photos like we did at Christmas?

Hi mopsy. As others have said, we often caption. I’m going to do something like that (maybe). Text on the actual image? That’s sort of a Farktography special mod, like HDR or stitching or something like that.

Further clarification upon reflection: if the text is part of the photograph, then sure, knock yourself out. “part of the photograph” means that you took a picture of the text – it is part of the image in the tableau.

Maybe we could consider as a furture theme to do book covers of classics or well known authors with the title on the photo. Probably the book store manager coming out in me. Thanks for giving me an answer!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I’m thinking of bifurcating my efforts – a laptop for the COO and building something for me. But I have to get that past the COO first.

I’ll probably just check out Fry’s tomorrow or the next day and see what they have.
