A single flower is not a garden unless you are a really horrible gardener.
I’d say it’s only acceptable if you document the dead flowers that would have made it a garden.

Can we get an official letterhead?

I could really use something official-looking that assures people that I’m not as creepy as I look, at least not in the way they’re thinking.

Just knock the other one off once you get off the ground. So long as the plane is balanced you’ll be fine, unless your lenses are with you, then forget everything I just said.

    This thread needs more fire.

I wonder if I can get a Type-R tattoo and a cardboard hoodscoop on my back before the contest….

I tried it once. You either need the steadiest hands in the world and the light of 10,000 suns or the world’s greatest tripod and the patience of someone famous for being patient whose mention here would be witty.

It works, but man, soooo hard.
You might want to consider a lens reverser and a cheap, used 50mm full manual lens. Having the most sensitive to damage part of your lens inches from what you’re shooting is really nerve wracking, what with the weight of two lenses, and the constant frobbing of every knob on your tripod to get the 1/100″ closer so you can even make out what you’re trying to shoot.

Bah, the idea’s already taken. *crosses it off the list*

Believe it or not, I don’t have an Office Space style stapler. There’s something vaguely insulting and ineffably patronizing about them; they just rub me the wrong way.
Now, if Milton was a bright, dapper fellow with a Hotchkiss Redhead I’d be all over that stuff.

I wonder how many people are doing red staplers. I mean, they’re famous.

I have a 28mm Quantaray which is 100% awesome. You can play hackysack with it without fear of hurting it, it’s sharp as a tack, has reasonably good color and bokeh, and is just generally nice. Aperture control just doesn’t work with digital bodies (which is apparently common with older Sigma and Quantaray lenses for Canon AF).

Of course, there are plenty of other Quantaray lenses which by all accounts will fall apart if you look at them the wrong way, and have the optical quality of melted plastic.

I’ve heard from more than a few places that their best lenses are just rebadged designs from other 3rd party folks, like Sigma. But Sigma’s 18-50mm looks like a totally different design. That, plus the total lack of reviews means it’s probably garbage, but I have no idea.

/anyone know how to get strikethrough to work using BBCode?

    You could try this.

But that seems like a lot of work, so I’ll leave it to you and just goof off
