To Mopsy, orionid and cloudancer – dead plants can be striking. If you have one, slap on a macro and start nosing around.

As long as plants are central/important to the shot, it’s OK to have something with a brain in the pic. Correct?

If not, I have too many to choose from anyway. I just kinda want to use a particular shot.

JK, at first, I thought that was a doorway in the background. But that wouldn’t make sense – unless the bed was in the middle of the room. Of course, it’s curtains with the window looking like the top of a door. I see the spots now but didn’t notice them before. If you do it again, try one with the curtains all the way closed, too. That might work.

/oh yeah. And I’m happy for you guys. A good marriage is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than a bad one. Keep working and playing.

Thanks folks and see you next week.

Yeah. It is one of those mini airplane bottles.

Considering my history it’s a bit ironic how well I’m doing this week. 🙂

JK, I just looked at it again, trying to figure out the two things. One might be making things perfectly centered. What’s the other?

btw – I like it just the way it is.
Also, I’m rarely perfectly satisfied with my pics.

Ahhhh. Photoshop contests. Those things are what sucked me into fark. I was doing those for about a year before I started the photog stuff. Fun stuff. Did you know there is a photoshop ‘FSM’? I don’t remember doing 110 of those things.

I wonder if I can get my pics back up…..

Basically, the thoughts in my head are using existing photos to project texture onto various abstract curves of the female form.

Thanks guys and gals. I sort of got lucky with that shot. I was out with the girls and stopped at a local high school to get this ( http://photos.imageevent.com/ulle17/fark/L_6272.jpg ) pic. As we were leaving, we went out a different way and came across the ticket booth window at the back of the stadium. Serendipity.

Got nothing for next/this week. Hmmmm.

    I tabbed Kestrana‘s “One Cup” as a U-Man. That should be a compliment 🙂

Wow, it is indeed, thank you.

My wife (and maybe Mopsy) would caution you guys against such nice comments because my big head won’t fit through doorways. But thank you very much. Made me smile.

And I would be pleased to claim Kestrana’s lamplit table as mine. It has a really nice feel.

And I agree with orionid, the FSM adds some nerdy, competitive spice to the whole thing. Thanks from me too, schnee.

Thanks folks. I still don’t know which way I’ll go, but the input is helpful.

    Cool barn shot, btw.

Shakes fist @ U-Man and his friggin rainbow shot!!! That’s a crazy cool shot!

Thanks and thanks. I think the USS Wisconsin photo is my fav this week.

But then… voting has been so low lately.

I agree. At first I thought it was due to some ‘specialized’ themes which produced generally less-popular pics. But I don’t know if that is accurate…

Maybe we need to break out a farktography stimulus package and re-do “Cats”.

Or maybe we need to take 50% of the votes from the to 20 or 30 vote-getters and give them to everybody else. Even people who have never submitted a photo. 😛

You just really have to play with all the different knobs and sliders…

    I’m 14.

Here’s some bees – (All on the biggish side because it is better with HDR)

Stag – I think ran across that one while bouncing around the topic. I think it is made more for the 1.6 crop sensors though.

2nd question – There are 8 mm fisheyes and 15 mm fisheyes that both cover 180 degrees. So, they are different than simple wide angle lenses. What would I gain (or lose) with the different focal lengths? Is an 8 mm more likely to be a 180 circular pic and the 15 mm a 180 diagonal pic?

How different would a Canon 15 mm fisheye be compared to a 16-35L or 10-22 EFS?

Oh, orionid and SilverStag, if/when my kid’s dragon get’s beat out for 1st place, the guys in front will be truly bad-ass.

Ever since my cousin left a foot in Afghanistan, the whole military/national security/pay-for-our-freedom thing has become more real to me. I may have questions about what the top brass are doing, but I support the soldiers.

And your portraits are pretty good, too. 🙂

How strange! I could not get the contest to open using Internet Explorer but it opened when I used Mozilla Firefox. BUT then I had to enter my user name and password to vote. This has never happened before. I’m beginning to think computers have minds of their own!

I keep telling you Firefox is better. 🙂
