ParticipantLASIK, meh. It’s not that I haven’t heard a lot of good things about it, it’s just… They’re my EYES. My EYES. My motherfarkin’ EYES man! My window to the world. My entire source of income as a television cameraman. I’ve heard stuff about people having problems at night with halos and stuff that I know would bug the crap out of me. So for now I’d rather deal with glasses than have a guy aiming frickin lazer beams at my face.
I’m 20/15 fully corrected, but I haven’t updated the prescription in a while, I’m probably down to 20/25 or so right now.
Word. I’m an IT geek. If I screw up my eyes, I cant see to code, troubleshoot, or be anywhere near as productive or valuable. I can deal with sticking the frames on in the morning so long as it keeps paying the bills.

ParticipantPart of the problem there is you are shooting straight into a 500/750/1000W light source, which is overexposing the image. There’s only so much you can really do to recover from that– shooting RAW will help, but when you’re blowing out the image, you can only get so much detail back.

Participant*grin* Be careful what you wish for swampa — some week I just might bust out into a barely sanitized rendition of the Aristocrats 😉

ParticipantBROTHER MAYNARD: Armaments, Chapter Two, verses Nine to Twenty-one.
SECOND BROTHER: And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, ‘O Lord, bless this thy hand grenade that with it thou mayest blow thine enemies to tiny bits, in thy mercy.’ And the Lord did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals and fruit bats and large chu–
MAYNARD: Skip a bit, Brother.
SECOND BROTHER: And the Lord spake, saying, ‘First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then, shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Fark is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.’
MAYNARD: Amen.
KNIGHTS: Amen.
ARTHUR: Right! One… two… fark!
GALAHAD: Three, sir!
ARTHUR: Three!zeke

Participant(I do not condone shaving your kitten for the purposes of photography, just in case some nutter takes that seriously.)
Awww why not? 🙁
Because you’ll never, ever get the hairs out of every item of furniture, piece of carpet, your clothes, etc.
It’s a bloody nightmare.
Nonsense. That’s what the vacuum cleaner is for. And fortunately, most cats are usually so horrified of it that they sink their claws in wherever, which means them easier to shave at the same time.

ParticipantThis contest might as well be re-named “Everybody Try to Finish a Distant Second to chakalakasp*”.
* unless we’re all playing for third; maybe even fourth.
Maybe. But if millera9 busts out the trolls and barbies shot, it could very well be on.
