ParticipantAgreed, linguine. Once in a while is fine, but it really is pretty heavy manipulation of the image. We had a discussion on the topic and put it to a community vote, and it pretty well came back a resounding no.

For that matter, some of the things done for this event (stitching/blending) are usually a nono too, but exceptions are made from time to time for special events like HDR and Stitching.

ParticipantDoes the moody subject necessarily have to be human?
Suddenly I’m seeing an image of a dejected stapler, sulking the corner.

ParticipantYou put up a unique interpretation and won with it. Fair-play as far as I’m concerned…
//This from a guy who posted a picture of someone about to eat a moth…My first FT entry evar was for religion and spirituality, and it was a shot of someone praying to the porcelain. Any questions? 😆

ParticipantSeriously though, so long as its remotely on theme, let em rip. Now, if you posted a picture of something totally off the wall like, oh I dont know, a picture of a cardboard box, THAT would be a different story. 😉
Hey, the box was on theme! Personally I think he should have taken the photo with my head in the box but apparently I don’t look enough like Gwyneth *sigh*
Ok, I’ll bite. What was the deal with the box? I just couldn’t figure out where the Sam Hill that one was coming from 😉

ParticipantFunny interpretations of the topic tend to do well, just look at the v-day comp (just using that as an example, not saying there is anything wrong with it!)
Word to that. Taking the theme concept and twisting it a bit is always fun. It usually results in something unique and different and makes people think a little different. A ‘Birds’ theme can only be so much fun if everyone actually posts actual bird shots, as opposed to pictures of Larry Byrd or some obscure hippie rock band from the 60s.
[Lewis Black] Oh look, its another picture of… wait for it… an avian critter. I honestly wasnt expecting that. After all I mean, c’mon what WERE the odds?[/Lewis Black].

Yeah..I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard as bukake Barbie in a while.*cues song The Way We Were*
A see a vision: its a stapler… in the doorway, watching in horror as a stapler 3 way is going on the couch…
