I’m in millera9’s court. It depends mostly on what the theme is and how well I can deal with it. Sometimes I already have a shot for a theme, sometimes I get it the first shot, sometimes I can shoot till I have to quit without getting it.

This week’s theme put my Flickr views to 1000, adding over 200 views in 36 hours. The power of Farktography is evident.
    Thanks Fark and Farktography.

Funny, I’m finding that my new equipment is handicapping me. I’ve been shooting film for 28 years, learned about what film to use for depth of colour vs sensitity and all that stuff, now I’m re-learning on my digital SLR which doesn’t behave the same way and has to be adjusted in different ways and has funny quirks and I’m not turning out the images I think I should be getting.
If better equipment gives you opportunity, go for it, but don’t expect it to make the images work. You gotta do that for yourself. And like Xenpix said, you’re doing well, just keep learning.

Well, outside of the possible awkwardness the mannequin may present, congratulations.

    Impressive!
If you consider the comments added to each thread, that’s a lot of attention.

    I approve.
Of course the assumption there is anyone entering is willing to have their entries downloaded. Maybe it needs a “Except where the farktographer has specified the entry is not for download”, or something of tht nature? Or not.

I drove through Chicago Saturday. (No time to stop at the Fark party, unfortunately) and saw the Chicago Skyline at night against an impossibly black background from I90/94. Someone has GOT to post that unreal looking beautiful light show!

I agree with Silver Stag. I would be tickled to have a photo I enter into this contest used as someone’s wallpaper. I just wish I knew if/how may people used them. Would there be a way to ask that the user advise the farktographer?

Have fun everybody. I’m not playing tonight. Gonna sit it out and watch cause I only took a couple of so-so shots and haven’t processed the film. Oh well. At least you are all so entertaining I doubt I’ll be missing much.

The clarity alone is making me cry. Beautifully done. At 20×30 it should be compelling.
