orionid, I like your sunflowers. Also like the soda can flamingos and I’m surprised it’s not doing better in this contest. Then again, I’m not sure voters are voting on this one based on theme adherence or applicability. There are a few with decent vote counts that are neat shots but not what I’d call artsy. Not complaining at all, just my opinion.

As to predicting the voters whims, I’m in the same boat as the rest of y’all. I posted my shots in the order I thought they’d place and as of now they’re completely swapped.

I haven’t posted one of these in a while and since rav mentioned vote counts, here’s how vote totals have been running:

Hugging this one pretty close to the average line, which is good since 4 out of the last 5 have been pretty far below average (vote count-wise only, not a commentary on theme quality).

So you’re exposing through both holes simultaneously, so that’s what gives the double-exposure look, right? It gives a pretty unique and quite interesting look to the shots.

Well, you obviously wouldn’t use it as your everyday walking-around lens, but as an “art” lens, I do like the effect. The bokeh in that first one is exceptional. That wire tornado thing is really cool, too.

You really oughta be able to come up with some strong contenders for artsy-fartsy with this one, I’d think.

Sorry about the dup, Kestrana. Aside from the angle, it’s a nearly identical shot. I guess that’s what I get for not reviewing the thread before posting. Wouldn’t have made much of a difference this week though as I only had one B as a backup and I’m not thrilled with it.
