    where’s minolta? or knoica/minolta?

and no, if it says sony it’s not minolta.

also use fuji point and shoot. one A205 and two A360.

i didn’t look at every image but of those i did look at the “problem” seems to happen more on the ISO 1600 ones. the girl in red with the shovel compared to the girl in gray pitching. the two guys in frame two vs the several guys with red hats 6th frame from the end. there isn’t noise in the sense that there are colored dots but the 1600 ones are all soft. i tried to find similar exposure/focal lengths to compare although my examples may not reflect that.

    rabbit ears?

i got lucky at sam’s recently and found an epson R260 for $45. came with everything but the original box. been marked down twice from $154. besides beautiful prints it will print CD’s too. haven’t tried that yet. my only concern right now is that it seems to use a lot of ink. i only use it for making “photo” quality prints which it really excels at.

also have a canon i850 photo printer which makes pretty good prints. or did until it stated to produce banding. and a konica/minolta 2400W laser printer which turned out to be a big disappointment. fortunately i got it at sam’s also for $50. had been a display model and they’d lost the manuals, cables and box. plus i knew the guy in electronics so he helped get the price reduced.

Yeah, out of warranty because I’m the second owner, and about $1,400 new.

since my maxxum 7D with kit lens was roughly $800 and an additional 75-300 AF film lens another $175 plus associated shipping for both that may explain why my shots aren’t as sharp as i’d like. i really like the body but knew going in that the lenses could be a stumbling block.

but for now they are what i can afford. and in ten months i’ve shot 24 GB worth of images. i do wish konica/minolta hadn’t got out of the camera lens business.

having never looked into the feed thing i have no idea what size the download to you is. if it’s original file size and picture size … well most of mine are pretty big.

then again if you know enough to hook up an external monitor for a laptop you can figure out what to do to get the right file size.

yeah right, multiple monitors. my card may support them but my wallet doesn’t.

so the lens was out of warranty and real expensive in the first place? sorry i don’t remember the original details.

but i am happy for you. having equipment out for any reason is a pain.

if any one knows of a good repair place i need to get my three XD-11 bodies cleaned. for those that don’t know that’s a minolta body. manual focus, auto exposure in either aperture or shutter priority. a prosumer body for it’s day. that day being roughly thirty years ago 🙂

well what do you know, i do have a feed. it’s here http://www.flickr.com/photos/57055068@N00/ at the bottom of my flickr page(s). there are what appear to be a lot of duplicates there because i uploaded a bunch of macro shots for some friends and family to see. there are also pictures of tools and a before and after of sensor cleaning. use whatever you like.

you were shooting for the school district? a historical type of thing? and the still guys were shooting for the hope of selling stills to the grads families? or were they “on assignment” and/or contracted by the families?

the reason i ask is because your examples are fine for jr. getting their diploma but lack a sense of the overall event. i’d bet your video has the overall look also. is there any chance of getting frames from your video?

if it’s not clear what i’m thinking is something akin to wedding shots. which incidentally is another area that employs contract photographers. or did in this area ten years ago.

sunspots are signs of aging. solar flares are signs you didn’t have your lens hood on.
