A quick look at your profile shows the issue is because you participated in Farkstronomy a couple years ago. The “Active Farktographers” list looks at your total participation as well as your recent participation, so for all those intervening contests you have a negative space building against you. It’ll take you some time to work through that. You can see orionid has the same problem, he participated in Streetlights some years before he started posting actively and he’s still not to Ultra Farktographer status.

orionid gave me a 1950s Polaroid Landcam in amazing condition that he’s going to convert to 35mm like his, and also a 1910s-1920s era Kodak predecessor to the Brownie that takes 120 size film, so can be used as is. I’m really excited to see what kind of pictures come out of that one!

Yeah I hear you on being sick. I have the flu, a double ear infection and a sinus infection that I’ve been battling for almost 2 weeks now. It sucks and the doctor says I probably won’t be better until Christmas or later.

Thanks Cause, I’d been hoping for snow so I could take it in actual snow but the weather has not co-operated for us.

And yes, orionid has been my slave for about a week now. Moreso than he is normally, I mean. I think he likes it though.

There are a lot of themes there but I want to mention it’s slightly deceptive. Now I add themes to the hopper immediately after they hit critical mass instead of the hopper only becoming populated when we schedule more themes. So naturally you’re going to see a burgeoning of themes in the period between schedulings.

For any theme I’d say post whatever you want to post as long as it meets the fark TOS. That’s the great thing about photography as a hobby – just about anything is (or should be) fair game.
