ParticipantI think all of the votes that we were looking for last week may have been saving up for this week.

ParticipantThis is already looking like its going to be a pretty popular contest.

ParticipantIf you’re going to try to use a map to judge where everyone is we might want to make a new map because theres a bunch of retired farktographers on there.

ParticipantSorry to hear that. I’ll miss seeing her shots in the contests. I really liked her cat first person shooter shot.

ParticipantTilt-shift meets wide-angle. It’s really hard to get a good DoF at wide-angle even with tilt-shift.
I try to shoot realistic/natural (no special effects in post). but I’m not really feeling the effect with these shots:

For what it’s worth… I like them, especially the first two.
I’ll second that. Have you been using the tilt-shift website or doing everything manually in photoshop/gimp? I think I’ve been getting better results with the tilt-shift website than through gimp, but that could just be because I haven’t gotten the process for this in gimp down all that well yet.

Participantwell if spiders are a gating factor, that rules out our house.
Pity too – I was gonna put a big keg in the kegerator and put some meat on the grill and everything.
Well if theres kegs we should all be able to have enough alcohol in our blood that the alcohol will kill the spider’s poison.

ParticipantIndianapolis is another centrally located, reasonably priced city. We don’t live there, but it’s not too far a drive.
I don’t know, I hear Indy has some nasty spiders.
And being from Baltimore I’d be tempting to start torching the city.linguine
ParticipantI don’t think we have to worry too much about people trying to get a head start on the contest with how quickly most of those photoshoppers can turn out pictures. The only people that a head start might help would be people like me who really don’t know much beyond basic photo editing, and my best shot at winning a photoshop contest would probably be if I stumbled into something by accident to make a cool picture rather than something that took a lot of time to make.

ParticipantI’m going to have to nominate Baltimore. We could figure out what the most popular baseball team is among farktographers and then watch them beat the crap out of the O’s.

ParticipantActually, come to think of it… what is there to say about someone participating in both the farktography AND photoshop contests for this one? hrrrmmm. It’s been a few years, but this is as good a reason as any to get back into it.
Go for it, people have done both sides of the crossover contest before.(and I guess it could give you a head start if you wanted to photoshop your own shots)

ParticipantShhhhhhh, everyone be quite, we don’t want no big deal to know we’re having a party
linguine
ParticipantShould we just go ahead and declare soosh the winner for this week?
linguine
ParticipantCool shots, I really like the second one.
linguine
ParticipantThats awesome. Thanks for sharing.

ParticipantWell hell, I’m finally going to have to create a Facebook account now…
It had to happen eventually, and this sounds like a great way to get started.
I joined facebook for international pillow fight day so you won’t have as odd of a reason for joining as I did.
